An empirical research on the messages transmitted by the universities mottos
The purpose of this paper is to present some results of our empirical research on the messages transmitted by the universities mottos. In a global market for higher education, universities must compete for students re-thinking their offer, and their attractors. One of these attractors is the motto of the university, which suggests an inspiring message. Not all universities have chosen a motto, but many of them have done it. We considered 365 such mottos and we performed a frequency analysis of their components. That means, we analysed the most frequent words used and the key meanings associated with them. These meanings are found also in the vision and mission statements of the chosen universities.higher education, meanings, mottos, universities.

Circus
From 1833 when two ropewalkers performed in Sydney, circus skills have provided popular entertainment. By the 1850s thousands watched circus performances outdoors and in purpose-built theatres. The travelling circus was prompted by goldrush crowds far from the cities, and became the default when circus men found it was easier to change audiences than to change repertoires. Sydney seasons were regular annual engagements for many of Australia's circuses well into the twentieth century. Strong links were formed with international performers, and exchanges between the American and Australian circus worlds were frequent

Pierre Molinier, le corps réinventé
International audienceBeyond the presupposition isolating the male of the feminine, Pierre Molinier's self-portraits claim an aesthetics of the third gender, that of the neutral. This inserting into voluntary margins underlines the ambivalence between presence and absence of the sexual cleavage. At the origin of this "between two genders", there is a liberation from sexual "normality". From the sixties, his work focuses on his very body. Dedicated exclusively to the eroticism, his self-portraits are exploited thanks to the photomontage which also breaks the possibilities inferred by the photographic medium. The photographic practice (re)positions the body as a territory to be reinvented. Worked again and treated until it appears as an idealized image of self, the body re-questions the codes of gender and, through this practice, the conflict between the identity of gender and the identity of sex of the individual. This reflection on the sexual identity actually invites to wonder about what is at stake in a body reconstructed by means of the demolition of the visual medium.
