    A Comprehensive Review of Sentiment Analysis on Indian Regional Languages: Techniques, Challenges, and Trends

    Sentiment analysis (SA) is the process of understanding emotion within a text. It helps identify the opinion, attitude, and tone of a text categorizing it into positive, negative, or neutral. SA is frequently used today as more and more people get a chance to put out their thoughts due to the advent of social media. Sentiment analysis benefits industries around the globe, like finance, advertising, marketing, travel, hospitality, etc. Although the majority of work done in this field is on global languages like English, in recent years, the importance of SA in local languages has also been widely recognized. This has led to considerable research in the analysis of Indian regional languages. This paper comprehensively reviews SA in the following major Indian Regional languages: Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Gujarati, and Urdu.     Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis using Machine Learning and Deep Learning Approaches

    Sentiment analysis (SA) is also known as opinion mining, it is the process of gathering and analyzing people's opinions about a particular service, good, or company on websites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and blogs, among other places. This article covers a thorough analysis of SA and its levels. This manuscript's main focus is on aspect-based SA, which helps manufacturing organizations make better decisions by examining consumers' viewpoints and opinions of their products. The many approaches and methods used in aspect-based sentiment analysis are covered in this review study (ABSA). The features associated with the aspects were manually drawn out in traditional methods, which made it a time-consuming and error-prone operation. Nevertheless, these restrictions may be overcome as artificial intelligence develops. Therefore, to increase the effectiveness of ABSA, researchers are increasingly using AI-based machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques. Additionally, certain recently released ABSA approaches based on ML and DL are examined, contrasted, and based on this research, gaps in both methodologies are discovered. At the conclusion of this study, the difficulties that current ABSA models encounter are also emphasized, along with suggestions that can be made to improve the efficacy and precision of ABSA systems

    Entity Recognition at First Sight: Improving NER with Eye Movement Information

    Previous research shows that eye-tracking data contains information about the lexical and syntactic properties of text, which can be used to improve natural language processing models. In this work, we leverage eye movement features from three corpora with recorded gaze information to augment a state-of-the-art neural model for named entity recognition (NER) with gaze embeddings. These corpora were manually annotated with named entity labels. Moreover, we show how gaze features, generalized on word type level, eliminate the need for recorded eye-tracking data at test time. The gaze-augmented models for NER using token-level and type-level features outperform the baselines. We present the benefits of eye-tracking features by evaluating the NER models on both individual datasets as well as in cross-domain settings.Comment: Accepted at NAACL-HLT 201

    Understanding Public Opinions on Social Media about ChatGPT – A deep Learning Approach for Sentiment Analysis

    User-generated multimedia content—photos, text, videos, and audio—is becoming more and more common on social networking sites to allow individuals to express their thoughts. One of the largest and most advanced social media platform discussing ChatGPT is Twitter. This is because Twitter updates are constantly being produced and have a limited duration. The deep learning method for sentiment analysis of Twitter data about ChatGPT evaluation is presented in this research. This study used 4-class labels (sadness, joy, fear, and anger) from public Twitter data stored in the Kaggle database. The proposed deep learning strategy significantly improves the efficiency metrics determined by the use of the attention layer in current LSTM-RNN approaches, increasing accuracy by 20% and precision by 10-12%, but recall only 12-13%. Out of 18000 ChatGPT-related tweets, positive, neutral, and negative sentiments accounted for a respective 45%, 30%, and 35%. It is determined that the suggested deep learning technique for ChatGPT review sentiment categorization is effective, realistic, and fast to deploy
