Knowledge Sharing and Innovative Work Behaviour: A Case Study from Vietnam
Twenty years ago, it was proclaimed that collaborative technologies were able to impact the learning environments of educational institutions. Despite research indicating that these collaborative technologies could impact the learning environments in a positive way, no change occurred. Twenty years later, the same claims are being made, where a new collaborative technology, social media, is being proclaimed to be able to impact the learning environments of education institutions, by changing, and possibly improving, the learning approach. However, while these calls are being made, there is currently a lack of understanding on whether social media platforms are effective at enabling collaborative learning. To address this lack of understanding, it is first necessary to create prescriptive knowledge on how we can build collaborative learning environments with the platforms of social media, which this study does
Inverse kinematic control algorithm for a welding robot - positioner system to trace a 3D complex curve
The welding robots equipped with rotary positioners have been widely used in several manufacturing industries. However, for welding a 3D complex weld seam, a great deal of points should be created to ensure the weld path smooth. This is a boring job and is a great challenge - rotary positioner system since the robot and the positioner must move simultaneously at the same time. Therefore, in this article, a new inverse kinematics solution is proposed to generate the movement codes for a six DOFs welding robot incorporated with a rotary positioner. In the algorithm, the kinematic error is minimized, and the actual welding error is controlled so that it is always less than an allowable limit. It has shown that the proposed algorithm is useful in developing an offline CAD-based programming tool for robots when welding complex 3D paths. The use of the algorithm increases the accuracy of the end-effector positioning and orientation, and reduces the time for teaching a welding robot - positioner system. Simulation scenarios demonstrate the potency of the suggested method
SECURITY CAPABILITY ANALYSIS OF COGNITIVE RADIO NETWORK WITH SECONDARY USER CAPABLE OF JAMMING AND SELF-POWERING
This paper investigates a cognitive radio network where a secondary sender assists a primarytransmitter in relaying primary information to a primary receiver and also transmits its own information toa secondary recipient. This sender is capable of jamming to protect secondary and/or primary informationagainst an eavesdropper and self-powering by harvesting radio frequency energy of primary signals.Security capability of both secondary and primary networks are analyzed in terms of secrecy outageprobability. Numerous results corroborate the proposed analysis which serves as a design guidelineto quickly assess and optimize security performance. More importantly, security capability trade-offbetween secondary and primary networks can be totally controlled with appropriate selection of systemparameters
Ripple Down Rules for Question Answering
Recent years have witnessed a new trend of building ontology-based question
answering systems. These systems use semantic web information to produce more
precise answers to users' queries. However, these systems are mostly designed
for English. In this paper, we introduce an ontology-based question answering
system named KbQAS which, to the best of our knowledge, is the first one made
for Vietnamese. KbQAS employs our question analysis approach that
systematically constructs a knowledge base of grammar rules to convert each
input question into an intermediate representation element. KbQAS then takes
the intermediate representation element with respect to a target ontology and
applies concept-matching techniques to return an answer. On a wide range of
Vietnamese questions, experimental results show that the performance of KbQAS
is promising with accuracies of 84.1% and 82.4% for analyzing input questions
and retrieving output answers, respectively. Furthermore, our question analysis
approach can easily be applied to new domains and new languages, thus saving

Effect of Mergers and Acquisitions on the Determinants of Dividend Payout in Nigeria
The effect of merger and acquisition on the determinants of dividend payout in Nigeria banks is examined in this paper. Dividend paid between 2007 and 2013 was considered in quoted banks and analysed using panel data regression technique. Determinants considered include: liquidity, growth, leverage, profitability (ROA & ROE), firm size and previous year dividend. Results showed a positive relationship between dividend paid and the following variables: liquidity, return on asset (ROA), firm size and previous year dividend. However, growth, leverage and return on equity (ROE) showed a negative relationship with dividend paid. The results are the same for banks involved in merger and acquisition and those not involved. We can therefore conclude that merger and acquisition has no effect on the determinants of dividend payout in Nigeria banks. It is therefore recommended that managers and directors should not be bothered about the effect that merger or acquisition will have on their dividend policy instead the determinants examined should be taking into consideration Keywords: Determinants, Dividend Payout, Mergers and Acquisition
