Regional labor markets during deregulation in Indonesia : have the Outer Islands been left behind?
Indonesia's labor markets, especially on the island of Java, have been transformed in the past 30 years, especially since liberalization picked up speed in the mid-1980's. The author explores the regional dimensions of that transformation. In some other countries, when labor markets changed, disparities among regions occurred. In Indonesia, when the employment structure changed markedly, real wages rose not only in Java-Bali, but also in most Outer Island provinces. Wages have grown more rapidly in Java-Bali, but labor in the Outer Island provinces has enjoyed large gains, the result of the rapid economic growth that came during deregulation. Among Outer Island provinces, Northern Sumatra and the poorer Eastern Island provinces have experienced substantial growth, while the Kalimantan provinces have lagged in manufacturing employment and wages. Labor market outcomes have also been less favorable in land-abundant provinces that received many assisted migrants during Indonesia's earlier oil boom. The author concludes that export-led industrialization concentrated in Java-Bali has helped change the labor market and income growth outside Java-Bali also. Improved wages and the shift of labor out of agriculture also partly reflect the government's continuing support for infrastructure and human resource development in the Outer Island provinces.Public Health Promotion,Banks&Banking Reform,Environmental Economics&Policies,Health Monitoring&Evaluation,Labor Policies,Health Monitoring&Evaluation,Governance Indicators,Achieving Shared Growth,Banks&Banking Reform,Environmental Economics&Policies

Title: “Analysis of Debt Collectability Level Comparison at Regional Development Bank of Java Island with Regional Development Bank Outside Java Island”. The research aimed to find out debt collectability level at Regional Development Bank in Indonesia and tested the debt collectability difference between Regional Development Bank in Java and outside Java Island. Method used in this research were Mann Whitney U non-parametric method to test the different between two independent samples, those were Regional Development Bank in Java with Regional Development Bank outside Java. By taking 5 samples of Regional Development Bank in Java and 5 samples of Regional Bank outside Java with complete data criteria with smallest debt collectability value. The result found that in general Regional Development Bank in Java Island and outside Java had debt collectability under 5%. It means that debt collectability whether good or troubled debt in the Bank was small. Difference test by using Mann Whitney U didn’t show any different debt collectability value between Regional Development Bank in Java island and outside Java island. It differed with previous research, caused the research object and variable were different. The hypothesis would be proven
Inscriptions of Sumatra; II. Short Epigraphs in Old Javanese
This article documents the existence of inscriptions using Old Javanese language on the island of Sumatra, by editing three short epigraphs, the first of which has previously been published but never satisfactorily interpreted, while the remaining two have not yet been published at all. However short these texts are in themselves, they raise interesting questions about the cultural, commercial, political, and linguistic connections between Java and Sumatra in ancient times

The purpose of this research is to analyze affecting factors of farmers terms of trade of food crops subsector in Java island during period 2008-2015. This study use secondary data of productivity, labor wage, irrigation line, length of road, price of paddy, urea fertilizer, planted area, and inflation. The analytical method use in this study is regression on panel data with fixed effect method. The result showed that irrigation line, length of road, price of paddy, urea fertilizer, and inflation have positive and significant affect to farmers terms of trade of food crops subsector in Java island. Planted area variable has a negative and significant affect to farmers terms of trade of food crops subsector in Java island. Meanwhile, productivity and labor wage have negative but not significant affect to farmers terms of trade of food crops subsector in Java island

This research is to determine whether the influence of government expenditure for public sector (education and health) and economic growth in Java Island. Types of the data used in this research is panel data that combine data time series from 2004 until 2011 and the cross series data (cross section) of the six provinces in Java Island with secondary data published by Ministry of Finance RI and Badan Pusat Statistik. Processing data using Eviews 6.0 program. Best estimates of model selection performed on the three types of model estimates and fixed effect models with the cross section weights is the best model. Based on the estimates, government expenditure for public sector (education) has negative effect and significant on poverty in Java Island. The result of government expenditure for public sector (health) shown negative effect and significant on poverty in Java Island, and the economic growth has negative and significant impact on poverty too. At the confidence level of 95% of all independent variables (simultaneously) significantly influence the dependent variable. Normality assumptions are met and no multicollinearity while heteroscedasticity was solved by using the weights. So
that the variables used free of violations of classical assumptions.

The Creative Process of Enarotali Dreams, a Screenplay
This paper is about a project on a screenplay. In my screenplay, I talk about a girl from Java who has to work in remote area in Papua Island. The girl is a volunteer teacher who has to survive to teach the students who are very different from students in Java. To develop the screenplay, I used two theories, namely culture shock and maturation. I use these two theories because in the main character experiences culture shock and maturation whe she does her voluntary teaching in Papua. To collect data, I use survey to Eranotali, Papua and libary research on Papua and its cultures. I find the theories and survey as well as libary research help me during the creative process. The theories help me develop realistic characters; while the survey and library research help me picture Eranotali as realistic as possible. I believe that when the screenplay is made into film, the audience will get the feel of Enarotali and ‘experience\u27 the main character\u27s jurne
