Las características acústicas de las iglesias prerrománicas hispanas

Este trabajo muestra los resultados de una campaña de mediciones acústicas realizadas sobre diversas iglesias prerrománicas hispanas. Debido a las reducidas dimensiones de estas iglesias comparadas con las de otros periodos históricos, los resultados obtenidos distan sensiblemente de los valores de otros tipos de iglesia. Los tiempos de reverberación son bajos, sobre todo en las iglesias más pequeñas y se aprecia una cantidad importante de energía inicial. Todo esto hace que la inteligibilidad de la palabra sea muy superior a la obtenida en iglesias de otros estilos arquitectónicos

PBW deformations of a Fomin-Kirillov algebra and other examples

We begin the study of PBW deformations of graded algebras relevant to the theory of Hopf algebras. One of our examples is the Fomin-Kirillov algebra FK3. Another one appeared in a paper of Garc\'ia Iglesias and Vay. As a consequence of our methods, we determine when the deformations are semisimple and we are able to produce PBW bases and polynomial identities for these deformations.Comment: 22 pages. Visión progresista de las relaciones España-Marruecos. El antecedente de Pablo Iglesias

Para entender algunos problemas de actualidad, como el conflicto con Marruecos, desde la perspectiva política, los años anteriores a la Primera Guerra Mundial representan una de las etapas más interesantes en la historia española contemporánea. En este contexto, se analiza el protagonismo polí- tico de Pablo Iglesias, que obtiene el acta de diputado por la circunscripción de Madrid en Mayo de 1910. El PSOE y su lider, Iglesias, se alinean con una oposición de la opinión pública a la guerra de Marruecos contra el militarismo en España. El conflicto de Marruecos se constituyó en la circunstancia que motivó el liderazgo de Iglesias en la política española desde una postura inequivocadamente progresista, anticipádamente así a la posición pacifista y avanzada de nuestro tiempo.To understand some of the present problems, such as those with Morocco, from the political perspective, the years before the First World War represent one of the most interesting periods of the contemporary Spanish history. In this context, the political initiative and the influence of Pablo Iglesias, who was elected in May 1910 as a representative of parliament from Madrid, is analysed. The Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE) and its leader, Iglesias, had sided with part of the general public, opposing the war with Morocco and the rising crisis of militarism in Spain. The conflict with Morocco came about under circumstances which enabled the leadership of Iglesias in the Spanish politics to form an evidently progressist posture, thus anticipating the pacifist position which was ahead of our time

Monte Carlo simulation study of exchange biased hysteresis loops in nanoparticles

We present the results of Monte Carlo simulations of the magnetic properties of a model for a single nanoparticle consisting in a ferromagnetic core surrounded by an antiferromagnetic shell. The simulations of hysteresis loops after cooling in a magnetic field display exchange bias effects. In order to understand the origin of the loop shifts, we have studied the thermal dependence of the shell and interface magnetizations under field cooling. These results, together with inspection of the snapshots of the configurations attained at low temperature, show the existence of a net magnetization at the interface which is responsible for the bias of the hysteresis loops.Comment: 9 pages, 3 figures embedded.
