High performance liquid chromatography LCC analysis

This manuscript deals with the reliability and availability analysis of a business equipment class used in a modern enterprise context aiming at the analysis of production breakdown reduction. In order to prevent a failure, reliability and availability analysis either of a instrument or of a product, assume a central role. This paper analyzes a specific case in a diagnostic pharmaceutical environment. The focus is on a scientific instrumentation class, High-Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC), which is inspected, maintained and serviced on outsourcing basis. The aim of this paper is to show how this kind of analysis can help in scheduling preventive maintenance, reducing the costs, defining the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for service suppliers, increasing simultaneously, the instruments availability and reliability
