Secure and Image Retrieval based on Multipurpose Watermarking for Mammography Images Database

In the cancerology domain, we were brought to make periodic mammography images to monitor tumor patients. Oracle Database Management system (DBMS) is a solution to manage these images with patient's data recorder. Knowing the large size of medical images of mammograms, the Oracle DBMS saves these images outside the Oracle database using external LOBs. The link between these images and Oracle is done through the BFILE. At this level, two problems are raised: the first problem is that access to these images can become impossible because the link is likely to be broken. The second problem is security, the fact that the images are saved outside the Oracle database, they do not benefit from its powerful security. The protection of the integrity and confidentiality of data and patient images are a necessity defended by laws and they must be preserved against any unauthorized access, alteration or destruction. In this paper, we propose the method of reversible watermarking technique based on the difference expansion to resolve these two problems and explore its use in search and retrieval strategy of images.Comment: 28-3

The rapid development of digital media and its use in various fields lead to greater demands for creating secured information delivery systems. Among of those is steganography. Steganography is a method to insert a piece of confidential information in an object or other media. By using steganography, the information hidden in a way that meant to make it is not known to exist, which is known as informasi hiding. This method differs from cryptography method which encodes the information so it cannot be read without knowing the key or password used, but its existence remains known and not completely hidden. This final project is developed using Microsoft Visual C # implements the method steganography Simple Least Significant Bit Substitution to hide an information into a multimedia file. Multimedia file that is used is a file image, audio files, as well as a video file as a medium of confidential information carrier. The use of steganography technology is expected to improve safety in the delivery of information, so that key information will be protected and obscured its existence in the multimedia file. This is also expected to assist in the protection of copyright works of the electronic medium

In this article, we have proposed a blind, fragile and Region of Interest (ROI) lossless medical image watermarking (MIW) technique, providing an all-in-one solution tool to various medical data distribution and management issues like security, content authentication, safe archiving, controlled access retrieval and captioning etc. The proposed scheme combines lossless data compression and encryption technique to embed electronic health record (EHR)/DICOM metadata, image hash, indexing keyword, doctor identification code and tamper localization information in the medical images. Extensive experiments (both subjective and objective) were carried out to evaluate performance of the proposed MIW technique. The findings offer suggestive evidence that the proposed MIW scheme is an effective all-in-one solution tool to various issues of medical information management domain. Moreover, given its relative simplicity, the proposed scheme can be applied to the medical images to serve in many medical applications concerned with privacy protection, safety, and management etc. Keywords
