Part 8: Pattern Recognition and Image ProcessingInternational audienceNowadays, There are many people who have impaired vision. It is hard to do for weak-eyed man to sense a range because of their blurry vision. Therefore they often feel complication in grasping objects. It is useful to design and implement a system presenting the distance between a hand and an object for low vision people. In this paper, we propose a method to estimate the distance between a camera and an object surface on which a HC2D barcode is pasted. In this research, we assume the camera is worn on hand and the HC2D barcode with information embedded is pasted on the surface of object. The distance between the camera and the HC2D barcode, which is attached on the object, is estimated comparison the actual size of the HC2D barcode with the size of HC2D barcode that snap or capture from the camera
