First Steps Towards the Automatic Construction of Argument-Diagrams from Real Discussions
This paper presents our efforts to create argument structures from meeting transcripts automatically. We show that unit labels of argument diagrams can be learnt and predicted by a computer with an accuracy of 78,52% and 51,43% on an unbalanced and balanced set respectively. New Dual Conformally Invariant Off-Shell Integrals
Evidence has recently emerged for a hidden symmetry of scattering amplitudes
in N=4 super Yang-Mills theory called dual conformal symmetry. At weak coupling
the presence of this symmetry has been observed through five loops, while at
strong coupling the symmetry has been shown to have a natural interpretation in
terms of a T-dualized AdS_5. In this paper we study dual conformally invariant
off-shell four-point Feynman diagrams. We classify all such diagrams through
four loops and evaluate 10 new off-shell integrals in terms of Mellin-Barnes
representations, also finding explicit expressions for their infrared

Verification and Synthesis of Symmetric Uni-Rings for Leads-To Properties
This paper investigates the verification and synthesis of parameterized
protocols that satisfy leadsto properties on symmetric
unidirectional rings (a.k.a. uni-rings) of deterministic and constant-space
processes under no fairness and interleaving semantics, where and are
global state predicates. First, we show that verifying for
parameterized protocols on symmetric uni-rings is undecidable, even for
deterministic and constant-space processes, and conjunctive state predicates.
Then, we show that surprisingly synthesizing symmetric uni-ring protocols that
satisfy is actually decidable. We identify necessary and
sufficient conditions for the decidability of synthesis based on which we
devise a sound and complete polynomial-time algorithm that takes the predicates
and , and automatically generates a parameterized protocol that
satisfies for unbounded (but finite) ring sizes. Moreover, we
present some decidability results for cases where leadsto is required from
multiple distinct predicates to different predicates. To demonstrate
the practicality of our synthesis method, we synthesize some parameterized
protocols, including agreement and parity protocols
Argumentation Mining in User-Generated Web Discourse
The goal of argumentation mining, an evolving research field in computational
linguistics, is to design methods capable of analyzing people's argumentation.
In this article, we go beyond the state of the art in several ways. (i) We deal
with actual Web data and take up the challenges given by the variety of
registers, multiple domains, and unrestricted noisy user-generated Web
discourse. (ii) We bridge the gap between normative argumentation theories and
argumentation phenomena encountered in actual data by adapting an argumentation
model tested in an extensive annotation study. (iii) We create a new gold
standard corpus (90k tokens in 340 documents) and experiment with several
machine learning methods to identify argument components. We offer the data,
source codes, and annotation guidelines to the community under free licenses.
Our findings show that argumentation mining in user-generated Web discourse is

Les Houches Guidebook to Monte Carlo Generators for Hadron Collider Physics
Recently the collider physics community has seen significant advances in the
formalisms and implementations of event generators. This review is a primer of
the methods commonly used for the simulation of high energy physics events at
particle colliders. We provide brief descriptions, references, and links to the
specific computer codes which implement the methods. The aim is to provide an
overview of the available tools, allowing the reader to ascertain which tool is
best for a particular application, but also making clear the limitations of
