Fast systematic encoding of multiplicity codes
We present quasi-linear time systematic encoding algorithms for multiplicity
codes. The algorithms have their origins in the fast multivariate interpolation
and evaluation algorithms of van der Hoeven and Schost (2013), which we
generalise to address certain Hermite-type interpolation and evaluation
problems. By providing fast encoding algorithms for multiplicity codes, we
remove an obstruction on the road to the practical application of the private
information retrieval protocol of Augot, Levy-dit-Vehel and Shikfa (2014)
Revisit Sparse Polynomial Interpolation based on Randomized Kronecker Substitution
In this paper, a new reduction based interpolation algorithm for black-box
multivariate polynomials over finite fields is given. The method is based on
two main ingredients. A new Monte Carlo method is given to reduce black-box
multivariate polynomial interpolation to black-box univariate polynomial
interpolation over any ring. The reduction algorithm leads to multivariate
interpolation algorithms with better or the same complexities most cases when
combining with various univariate interpolation algorithms. We also propose a
modified univariate Ben-or and Tiwarri algorithm over the finite field, which
has better total complexity than the Lagrange interpolation algorithm.
Combining our reduction method and the modified univariate Ben-or and Tiwarri
algorithm, we give a Monte Carlo multivariate interpolation algorithm, which
has better total complexity in most cases for sparse interpolation of black-box
polynomial over finite fields
A trivariate interpolation algorithm using a cube-partition searching procedure
In this paper we propose a fast algorithm for trivariate interpolation, which
is based on the partition of unity method for constructing a global interpolant
by blending local radial basis function interpolants and using locally
supported weight functions. The partition of unity algorithm is efficiently
implemented and optimized by connecting the method with an effective
cube-partition searching procedure. More precisely, we construct a cube
structure, which partitions the domain and strictly depends on the size of its
subdomains, so that the new searching procedure and, accordingly, the resulting
algorithm enable us to efficiently deal with a large number of nodes.
Complexity analysis and numerical experiments show high efficiency and accuracy
of the proposed interpolation algorithm
Reconstructing Rational Functions with
We present the open-source library for the
reconstruction of multivariate rational functions over finite fields. We
discuss the involved algorithms and their implementation. As an application, we
use in the context of integration-by-parts reductions and
compare runtime and memory consumption to a fully algebraic approach with the
program .Comment: 46 pages, 3 figures, 6 tables; v2: matches published versio
