Внеудиторные учебные формы обучения в программах по публичной администрации Нового Болгарского Университета
The study discusses the best practices in the forms of extracurricular education used in the
course of teaching students and doctoral students enrolled in Public Administration programs at New Bulgarian
University (NBU), Bulgaria. The aim of the study is to present the organization and activities of the different
types of forms of extracurricular education in these programs. Based on the surveys carried out during the period
2005-2010 and the results of their analysis, a number of suggestions are made how to improve both the organization
and activities. The study defends the view that as regards their content the forms of extracurricular education
already introduced and taught adequately provide for the achievement of the academic aims and goals set, related
to the acquisition of the necessary skills, knowledge and professional competencies by the students and doctoral
students enrolled in the programs of Public Administration at NBU

The scout activity is one of the extracurricular program is given in SMP
Negeri 1 Jatiwangi whose objective is not only the students know the scout itself,
but more than the students are expected to have good creativity both when the
students are still in school especially when students have already graduated. So
the student’s creativity could be beneficial for the future.
This study aims to find out about the school’s efforts does in improving
students 'creativity in SMP Negeri 1 Jatiwangi, to determine the increase in
students’ creativity through the activities of scout extracurricular in SMP Negeri
1 Jatiwangi, and to know how big the scout role in improving students' creativity
in SMP Negeri 1 Jatiwangi.
The creativity is the ability to create the new products or the ability to
provide the new ideas and it can apply in the problem solving. In other word,
creativity is a creative effort to generate ideas and discoveries towards a better,
like the response form of the various problems that exist. The school is a formal
institution which is given the responsibility to improve the children development,
belonging to the development of children's creativity through the teachers by
sharing programs both intra and extra school. One of the efforts of the school to
improve the students’ creativity is through the programs of scout’s extracurricular
which held regularly every week. In the manner of the programs of scout’s
extracurricular, the school expected results is the increasing creativity of students,
especially in the learning process.
In this paper the writer used the several approaches, namely data collection
techniques such as through observation, interviews, questionnaires and
documentation. The questionnaires were distributed to all students, the leader of
scout who was amounting to 100 students.
The role of extracurricular scout in SMP Negeri 1 Jatiwangi in improving
the students’ creativity really looks important. The extracurricular activities
become a very significant driving factor in improving the students’ creativity.
Looking at the data obtained from the questionnaire, of the 100 respondents 85
respondents believed that creativity has increased after attending extracurricular
the activities scout. This is a sign that the scout extracurricular activities play an
important role in helping to improve the student’s creativity

Making Education Work For Latinas in the U.S.
This study examines the existing knowledge base about promoting Latina educational success, defined as completing high school and then going on to secure a college degree. It also adds to existing research by examining two large data sets - one national, and one California-based for predictors of successful educational outcomes for representative samples of Latina youth who have recently been in high school and college. Finally, after identifying important predictors of success from the existing literature, and the examination of current data, the study incorporates case studies of seven young Latinas who illustrate pathways of women who are finding their way to educational success through high school, community college, and four year universities. The psychological benefits of participation in leisure pursuits for adolescents
This paper looks to better understand the effects leisure has on adolescents. Leisure is an important past time for adolescents since they have so much free time to pursue activities. The adolescents, their parents, recreation programmers, and school officials should be aware of the benefits and risks associated with different leisure pursuits so they can better help the adolescents’ transition into an adult who has a high level of psychologically well-being. After the different effects are analyzed, this paper offers recommendations to recreation programmers. These recommendations account for the different factors of leisure. Overall, this paper is an analysis of leisure pursuits for adolescents and specifically focuses on psychologically well-being, while offering recommendations for anyone who has an interest in adolescents and leisure
The Workplace Relevance of the Liberal Arts Political Science BA and How It Might Be Enhanced: Reflections on an Exploratory Survey of the NGO Sector
Reflecting on a survey of employees of NGOs based in Ontario, Canada, the article considers two questions: How well are our BA programs preparing students for the workplace? Can we enhance workplace relevance without sacrificing our commitment to liberal education? Key findings are presented, including the BA continues to be a desired and employable degree and skills associated with it are valued; employers are not convinced that graduates with BAs necessarily possess these skills; and respondents associate their formal education with individual skills and extracurricular activities with interpersonal skills. Three strategies to enhance the workplace relevance of BA programs without sacrificing liberal education are suggested, and faculty are encouraged to think more holistically about their BA programs and what students need from them
