The Analysis of Factors Affecting Foreign Investment in Indonesia
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has important role in Indonesian economic development and becomes the engine of growth for the economy. For all this reason, the government starts doing promotions attracting foreign investors to invest in Indonesia by issuing a number of policies. In fact, some foreign companies have left from Indonesia. This research aims at determining the effect of GDP, inflation, and infrastructure toward Foreign Direct Investment in Indonesia from 1981 until 2014. It uses time series data and Error Correction Model (ECM) as the method. Based on analysis findings, all variables used by stationary in first difference, dependent and independent variables in the equation of co-integrating regression has long-term relationship. In the short term, GDP and Infrastructure do not have a significant influence, while inflation has a negative influence and significant in α 5% toward Foreign Direct Investment. In the long term, GDP and Infrastructure have a positive effect and significant at α 5%, while inflation does not have a significant influence to Foreign Direct Investment in Indonesia
Examining of the Effects of Employees on Work Stress, Role Conflict and Job Insecurity on Organizational Culture
Perceived work stress, It is stated that employees are psychologically disturbed and intensely threatening their health at their busy working tempo. Employees with a high degree of stress in the face of excessive workloads may experience burnout and intention to quit. Employees experiencing job insecurity cannot show their real performance and cannot get the efficiency they want from employees because they do not see themselves permanently in their organizations. However, they cannot achieve the desired efficiency due to the fact that employees who have a role conflict must fulfill more than one workload. Employees who are satisfied with their organizations are able to adopt organizational culture and develop their organizational skills such as planning and problem solving. Within the scope of the aim of the research, a survey was conducted with 350 employees. Some of the analyzes were performed using SPSS 25 Program and some of them were performed with AMOS program. Factor analysis and reliability analysis were applied to the questions using Likert scale. The results of factor analysis were checked by confirmatory factor analysis in AMOS. Correlation analysis was used to examine the relationships between variables, and regression analysis was used to test hypotheses
Economics Efficiency of Rabbit (Oryctolagus Cuniculus)Production in Anambra State, Nigeria (A Stochastic Frontier Profit Function Approach)
The study estimated the economic efficiency of rabbit production in Anambra State of Nigeria employing a stochastic Profit Function Approach. The study was based on primary data obtained from sixty randomly selected rabbit farmers in Anambra State. Stochastic Cobb - Douglas profit function and descriptive statistics technique were used to analyse economic efficiency level and the constraints in rabbit production respectively. The results analysis of the data revealed that wage rate, price of feed/feed supplement, flock size and price of drug and medications were the determinants of the profit level of the enterprise. More so, level of education, farming experience, membership of cooperative and access to credit were the major determinant factors to economic efficiency of rabbit enterprise. The major factors that limited rabbit production in the study area were poor access to credit, poor extension contact, feeding problem, high mortality rate, pests and diseases problems. There is the need to increase farmers access to credits, encouraging youth and experienced farmers to remain in rabbit production through provision of improved inputs at subsidized prices, encouragement of adult education, workshops and semina,r and motivation of the extension agents in order to be efficient in their duties
Factors Affecting the Profitability of Organic Farms
Whole farm data of 26 farms (1995/96 and 1996/97) and some enterprise gross margin data (including some 1997/98 data) for organic farms of six different types (arable, mixed, dairy, lowland sheep and cattle, upland sheep and cattle, horticulture) were analysed. Using Occupiers Net Income per hectare as a measure of profitability, the effects of a range of variables are described. Research recommendations for the MAFF R&D programme were identifie
Development of the Integrated Model of the Automotive Product Quality Assessment
Issues on building an integrated model of the automotive product quality assessment are studied herein basing on widely applicable methods and models of the quality assessment. A conceptual model of the automotive product quality system meeting customer requirements has been developed. Typical characteristics of modern industrial production are an increase in the production dynamism that determines the product properties; a continuous increase in the volume of information required for decision-making, an increased role of knowledge and high technologies implementing absolutely new scientific and technical ideas. To solve the problem of increasing the automotive product quality, a conceptual structural and hierarchical model is offered to ensure its quality as a closed system with feedback between the regulatory, manufacturing, and information modules, responsible for formation of the product quality at all stages of its life cycle. The three module model of the system of the industrial product quality assurance is considered to be universal and to give the opportunity to explore processes of any complexity while solving theoretical and practical problems of the quality assessment and prediction for products for various purposes, including automotive
Studying RFID adoption by SMES in the Taiwanese IT industry
With the advent of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), organisations have the opportunity to rethink how their organisation will operate and integrate in the supply chain. Especially for Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs), that they have limited resources adopting such an innovative technology (i.e. RFID) can be daunting. Literature indicates that SMEs that deal with implementation have so far only a few guidelines regarding specific opportunities and risks. This research is therefore trying to fill the gap by employing Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) techniques and utilising a questionnaire survey with the aim of exploring the factors that affect SMEs’ RFID adoption in the Taiwan Information Technology (IT) manufacturing industry. In doing so, the adoption factors which are classified into 3 different adopters categories named ready adopter (cost and management), initiator adopter (competitiveness and process efficiency) and unprepared adopter (IT management difficulties, IT implementation difficulties and cost of implementation) using EFA technique. A SMEs RFID adoption model is then proposed. It is anticipated that the findings of this research will not only enhance the research in RFID adoption in SMEs, but can also act as a reference for practitioners in the industry and researchers in the academic field
