ABSTRACT OpenSHMEM scalability is strongly dependent on the capability of its communication layer to efficiently handle multiple threads. In this paper, we present an early evaluation of the thread safety specification in the Unified Common Communication Substrate (UCCS) employed in OpenSHMEM.
