    Design of Compiler for Mobile Environment and Its Formalization using Evolving Algebra

    A challenging area of ubiquitous wireless computing is the area of providing system software for mobile programmers. Here we propose a software architecture for compiler in mobile environment. The solution presented does not require lower level details of the wireless communication, protocols and hardware platform of mobile computers. The design does take into consideration the resource constraints of the mobile host. In our architecture, we break compiler into two major independent module, one is kept at the mobile host keeping in the view frequent intervention of the mobile programmer, and the other is kept at the static host to generate codes suitable for different configuration of mobile host. The paper describes the formalization of compiler using evolving algebra at various abstraction levels.
