Localization to Enhance Security and Services in Wi-Fi Networks under Privacy Constraints
Developments of seamless mobile services are faced with two broad challenges, systems security and user privacy - access to wireless systems is highly insecure due to the lack of physical boundaries and, secondly, location based services (LBS) could be used to extract highly sensitive user information. In this paper, we describe our work on developing systems which exploit location information to enhance security and services under privacy constraints. We describe two complimentary methods which we have developed to track node location information within production University Campus Networks comprising of large numbers of users. The location data is used to enhance security and services. Specifically, we describe a method for creating geographic firewalls which allows us to restrict and enhance services to individual users within a specific containment area regardless of physical association. We also report our work on LBS development to provide visualization of spatio-temporal node distribution under privacy considerations
Implementing Operations Support Systems in E-Health Based Systems
Information and communication technologies have been introduced in different dimensions
of the health care. e-Health is the use of advanced communications technologies such as
the Internet, portable, wireless and other sophisticated devices to support health care
delivery and education. It has the potentials of improving the efficiency of health care
delivery globally.
With the increasing demand for information at the point of care, health care providers
could explore the advances provided by mobile technologies and the increasing
capabilities, compactness and pervasiveness of computing devices to adopt operations
supports systems (OSS) in e-Health based systems in order to provide efficient services and
enhance their performances.
In this paper, we present, the development and implementation of operations supports in e-
Health based systems. The system promises to deliver greater productivity for health care

Distributed Application as a new application Standard
The constant growth in IT field more precisely the Internet, determines the need of new technologies and applications which can provide new possibilities and accessibility to the contemporaneous information society.
The field of construction, isn’t a domain that has not information systems but there is still one way to distribute information for this domain that isn’t enough developed. The way to distribute processed information for this domain can be the Internet.
This paper describes the way to develop an application that easy the process of centralization, distribution, and analysis of information gathered from the construction site to the headquarters and then to the final users who signed the contract with the construction company to build the construction. The IT solution implies the use of new technologies for communicating and centralizing the information, that simplifies the way information travels between departments and finally to the end-user, with the benefit of the Internet and VPN.distributed applications, vpn, domains
Web Service Testing and Usability for Mobile Learning
Based on the summary of recent renowned publications, Mobile Learning (ML) has become an emerging technology, as well as a new technique that can enhance the quality of learning. Due to the increasing importance of ML, the investigation of such impacts on the e-Science community is amongst the hot topics, which also relate to part of these research areas: Grid Infrastructure, Wireless Communication, Virtual Research Organization and Semantic Web. The above examples contribute to the demonstrations of how Mobile Learning can be applied into e-Science applications, including usability. However, there are few papers addressing testing and quality engineering issues – the core component for software engineering. Therefore, the major purpose of this paper is to present how Web Service Testing for Mobile Learning can be carried out, in addition to re-investigating the influences of the usability issue with both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Out of many mobile technologies available, the Pocket PC and Tablet PC have been chosen as the equipment; and the OMII Web Service, the 64-bit .NET e-portal and the GPS-PDA are the software tools to be used for Web Service testing
