Leonardo Dati, Trophaeum anglaricum (1443; nach dem Codex Riccardianus 1207, fol. 47v-58r) (FONTES 65)

Leonardo da Vincis Konzeption seiner verschollenen "Anghiari-Schlacht" (Florenz, Palazzo Vecchio, um 1503/1505) wird in Fontes 65 anhand schriftlicher und bildlicher Quellen, im Besonderen anhand der zeitgenössischen panegyrischen Beschreibung dieses historischen Ereignisses im Werk "Trophaeum anglaricum" – vom Florentiner Humanisten Leonardo di Piero Dati 1443 verfasst – analysiert und besprochen. Das lateinische Gedicht aus 500 Hexametern (Handschrift in der Biblioteca Riccardiana, Florenz) wird von Gregor Maurach transkribiert, ins Deutsche übersetzt und diskutiert. Die ausführliche Kommentierung – im Grossen und Ganzen hier zum ersten Mal durchgeführt – entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit der Kunsthistorikerin Claudia Echinger-Maurach

KEWENANGAN PEMERINTAH DAERAH DALAM MENERBITKAN IZIN USAHA PERTAMBANGAN (IUP) DI KABUPATEN BANDUNG BARAT BERDASARKAN UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR 23 TAHUN 2014 TENTANG PEMERINTAHAN DAERAH

Pemerintah daerah diberi kewenangan untuk menyelenggarakan seluruh fungsi pemerintahan, kecuali dalam urusan pemerintahan absolut yang menjadi kewenangan pemerintah pusat yang meliputi politik luar negeri, pertahanan, keamanan, yustisi, moneter dan fiskal nasional, serta agama. Tujuan pemberian kewenangan dalam penyelenggaraan otonomi daerah adalah untuk mendorong upaya peningkatan kesejahteraan rakyat, pemerataan dan keadilan, demokratisasi dan penghormatan terhadap budaya lokal serta memperhatikan potensi dan keanekaragaman daerah. Berdasarkan Pasal 8 Undang-Undang Nomor 4 Tahun 2009 Tentang Pertambangan Mineral dan Batubara kewenangan menerbitkan Izin Usaha Pertambangan yang berada di satu wilayah diterbitkan oleh bupati/walikota, namun sejak diundangkannya Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pemerintahan Daerah, Penyelenggaraan Urusan Pemerintahan bidang energi dan sumber daya mineral dibagi antara Pemerintah Pusat dan Daerah provinsi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah yuridis-normatif dibantu dengan metode penelitian hukum sosiologis. metode penelitian hukum normatif (yuridis normatif) adalah suatu prosedur penelitian ilmiah untuk menemukan kebenaran berdasarkan logika keilmuan hukum dari sisi normatifnya. Logika keilmuan yang ajeg dalam penelitian hukum normatif dibangun berdasarkan disiplin ilmiah dan cara-cara kerja ilmu hukum normatif, yaitu ilmu hukum yang obyeknya hukum itu sendiri. Izin Usaha Pertambangan (IUP) adalah izin untuk melaksanakan usaha pertambangan. Kewenangan penerbitan Izin Usaha Pertambangan (IUP) berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 4 Tahun 2009 Tentang Mineral dan Batubara terlekat pada Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral, gubernur dan bupati/walikota sebagaimana diatur dalam Pasal 6, 7, 8 Undang-Undang Nomor 4 Tahun 2009. Setelah diundangkannya Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pemerintahan Daerah, Dinas Bina Marga, Sumber Daya Air dan Pertambangan (DBMSDAP) Kabupaten Bandung Barat tidak lagi menerbitkan Izin Usaha Pertambangan. Kendala yang timbul setelah terbitnya Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2014 adalah Dinas Bina Marga, Sumber Daya Air dan Pertambangan Kabupaten Bandung Barat khususnya di bidang pertambangan tidak mempunyai tugas, pokok dan fungsi yang jelas karena mereka tidak bisa lagi menerbitkan Izin Usaha Pertambangan yang dimohon oleh orang/perusahaan. Cara menyelesaikan Izin Usaha Pertambangan (IUP) tumpang tindih kewenangan adalah disampaikan ke Menteri Dalam Negerti untuk ditindak lanjut penyelesaiannya Undang-Undang Nomor 4 Tahun 2011 Tentang Informasi Geospasial dan Peraturan Menteri Dalam Negeri Nomor 1 Tahun 2006 Tentang Pedoman Penegasan Batas Daerah. Dual licensing in open source software markets

Dual licensing has proved to be a sustainable business model for various commercial software vendors employing open source strategies. In this paper we study the main characteristics of dual licensing and under which conditions it represents a profitable commercial strategy. We show that dual licensing is a form of versioning, whereby the software vendor uses the open source licensing terms in order to induce commercial customers to select the proprietary version of the software. Furthermore, we show that the software vendor prefers dual licensing to a fully proprietary strategy when the customers are very sensitive to the reciprocal terms of the open source license

To Arrange or Not: Marriage Trends in the South Asian American Community

The idea of the arranged marriage has always seemed exotic yet has fascinated the American public. Recent media coverage of arranged marriages is evident in popular periodicals such as the New York Times Online (August 17, 2000) and Newsweek (March 15, 1999). Foner highlights that the arranged marriage is an example of the continued impact of premigration cultural beliefs and social practices that South Asian immigrants have transported to the United States (Foner 1997, 964). She offers an interpretive synthesis by showing that [n]ew immigrant family patterns are shaped by cultural meanings and social practices that immigrants bring with them from their home countries as well as by social, economic, and cultural forces in the United States (Foner 2005, 157)

Coulomb-free and Coulomb-distorted recolliding quantum orbits in photoelectron holography

We perform a detailed analysis of the different types of orbits in the Coulomb Quantum Orbit Strong-field Approximation (CQSFA), ranging from direct to those undergoing hard collisions. We show that some of them exhibit clear counterparts in the standard formulations of the strong-field approximation for direct and rescattered above-threshold ionization, and show that the standard orbit classification commonly used in Coulomb-corrected models is over-simplified. We identify several types of rescattered orbits, such as those responsible for the low-energy structures reported in the literature, and determine the momentum regions in which they occur. We also find formerly overlooked interference patterns caused by backscattered, Coulomb-corrected orbits and assess their effect on photoelectron angular distributions. These orbits improves the agreement of photoelectron angular distributions computed with the CQSFA with the outcome of ab-initio methods for high-energy phtotoelectrons perpendicular to the field-polarization axis.Comment: 19 pages, 9 figure

Analisi di mobillità pedonale mediante dati di telefonia georeferenziati

Al fine di organizzare al meglio le città del futuro occorrono nuovi strumenti in grado di analizzare e comprendere il comportamento delle persone nelle aree urbane. In questo elaborato viene illustrata la costruzione di un modello teorico relativo alla mobilità pedonale nella città di Venezia a partire dall'analisi di dati di telefonia mobile, rilevati nella giornata del 26 Febbraio 2017. Vengono in seguito mostrate le differenti fasi necessarie alla realizzazione del modello a partire dall'elaborazione preliminare dei data set a disposizione e focalizzando poi l'attenzione sugli algoritmi di georeferenziazione disponibili in letteratura. Una volta ultimata l'analisi dati, vengono esposti i concetti teorici che stanno alla base del modello realizzato ponendo l'accento sul carattere stocastico del fenomeno osservato si rivolge lo sguardo al risultato ottenuto portando alla luce le verifiche a cui viene sottoposto e le criticità che emergono nell'affrontare questo studio

Growth factors and their respective receptors are key regulators in development and homeostasis of the nervous system, and changes in the function, expression, or downstream signaling of growth factors are involved in many neuropathological disorders. Recently, research has yielded a rich harvest of information about molecules and gene, and currently the assumption "a gene-a protein", where each gene encodes the structure of a single protein, is becoming a paradox. In the past years, the discovery of synergic or antagonistic proteins deriving from the same gene is a novelty upsetting. In some way, the conventional function of proteins involved in DNA repair, cell death/growth induction, vascularization, and metabolism is inhibited or shifted toward other pathways by soluble mediators that orchestrate such change depending on the microenvironment conditions. In this chapter, we focus on the antithetic properties that proteins could exert, depending on the microenvironment that orchestrates the complex networks among proteins and their respective partners. © 2008 Elsevier B.V. Helicopter Pilot Performance for Discrete-maneuver Flight Tasks

This paper describes a current study of several basic helicopter flight maneuvers. The data base consists of in-flight measurements from instrumented helicopters using experienced pilots. The analysis technique is simple enough to apply without automatic data processing, and the results can be used to build quantitative matah models of the flight task and some aspects of the pilot control strategy. In addition to describing the performance measurement technqiue, some results are presented which define the aggressiveness and amplitude of maneuvering for several lateral maneuvers including turns and sidesteps

La relazione che organizza il contesto sanitario: domanda dell’utenza e risposta dei servizi sanitari, nel territorio e nell’ospedale - The relationship which organizes the healthcare context: users’ demand and response of healthcare services, in the territory and the hospital

Our intent is to present citizens’ demand of health care services in Italy through a research structured in three studies. We used the Emotional Text Analysis (ETA) to lead the three s tudies: the first study regarded the citizens’expectations of the healthcare services, the second study regarded the point of view of the hospital personnel (medical doctors and nurses), the third regarded the point of view of the General Practitioners onthe health care services. These three studies are briefly presented. Data and outcome of an Assumed Similarity Test applied to all experimental subjects of the three studies in order to make a comparison among them, are also presented. The findings of the Emotional Text Analysis show that citizens, potential users of health services, center their requests on their individual subjectivity, and seek answers both to their suffering and to the feeling of alienation that characterizes the being sick feeling that makes them go to a medical doctor. For their part, general practitioners and hospital doctors immediately transform this subjective feeling in an objective medical diagnosis. Here a first gap emerges between patient’s demand and medical response, leavingthe possibility of an alliance on the diagnosis in order to jointly fight the disease. It has long been in place though a change that has expelled the patient also from sharing the diagnostic process, increasingly taken from self-centered dynamics within the healthcare system. This widens the gap between the request of the citizens and the response of the health services, that contributes to that conflictual growth to which defensive medicine gives a dysfunctional answer. The Assumed Similarity Test contributes to the interpretation of the health care dynamic identified in the Emotional Text Analysis; particularly in regard to the unfolding conflict, given by the hypothesis emerging from the data analysis, that a feeling of closeness for the hospital personnel goes along with an emotional stance of overpowering the othe
