Der Beitrag beschreibt die Erfahrungen, die bei der Datenmodellierung auf Basis des Entity-Relationship-Ansatzes und der Überführung in ein Relationenmodell sowie mit den Oracle-spezifischen 4GL-Werkzeugen und der dadurch ermöglichten Entwicklungsmethodik (Prototyping) gesammelt wurden. Zu den Verlinkungen in den Wörterbüchern des Internetportals OWID : ein Erfahrungsbericht aus Sicht des Neologismenwörterbuches (NWB)

Der Beitrag zeigt, ausgehend von der Darstellung der neuen Benutzungsmöglichkeiten der Onlinefassung des Neologismenwörterbuches gegenüber seiner Printfassung, welche Links derzeit innerhalb des Neologismenwörterbuches sowie von diesem auf die Wörterbücher des Portals OWID und auf andere elektronische Wörterbücher gesetzt werden. Am Beispiel der Wortartikel Adresse und Klammeraffe, die sowohl im Neologismen- als auch im elexiko-Wörterbuch ausgearbeitet vorliegen, werden Überlegungen hinsichtlich der geplanten Verknüpfung zwischen Wortartikeln mit gleichlautenden Stichwörtern angestellt. Sie betreffen insbesondere die Lesarten und ihre Etikettierung sowie die Verlinkung von sinnverwandten Wörtern. Eine Verständigung darüber kann dazu beitragen, dem jeweiligen Projektkonzept besser gerecht zu werden und die Darstellung eindeutiger und damit letztlich auch benutzerfreundlicher zu machen.Comparing the print version of the Dictionary of Neologisms with the online version of this dictionary, this paper shows which novel possibilities of usage are allowed by the online version and which links it includes to allow references to other OWID dictionaries as well as to dictionaries which are not part of OWID. On the basis of the dictionary entries for Adresse and Klammeraffe from the Dictionary of Neologisms and the OWID-dictionary elexiko, this paper also demonstrates how entries with similar key words may be linked. Considerations about the linking possibilities planned focus on the representation of the senses of a head word, on how they may be labelled, and on the crosslinking of synonyms. A basic agreement about these issues is likely to contribute to an unambiguous representation of the OWID dictionary projects and to a user-friendly realisation of the dictionaries concerned

Insane Cities and the Creation of Stereotypes for Cultural Identity

The differences between healthy cities and insanity cities are regarded in this paper as rather unimportant because the colloquial use of the antonym relating the healthy term is insufficient to explain how citizens live and how they interact with their daily space. New avenues are here proposed to diagnose the city ́s state of health in order to make decisions about growth and the developed economy which could be incidental in public policies and the development of a sustainable city. Three anthropological elements are considered in the elaboration of such a diagnosis: infrastructure, structure and superstructure. Psychiatry concurs in the creation of a diagnostic tool for healing the city ́s soul which relies on the identification of five main disorders: Amnesia; two or more different identities or personality states; evidence of personal malfunction in one or more important areas of life due to the disorder; alteration that contradicts normal cultural or religious practices; and substance abuse. Characterization of the soul of the cities is critical in the decision making apparatus regulating the city ́s life. Thus, it will be necessary to work interdisciplinary with other sciences and not to restrain ourselves to the areas of public health, urbanism and architecture since the construction of a healthy environment is a very complex goal. It is then necessary to take advantage of other sciences, such as psychiatry and anthropology to empower the city and create public policies incidental in the economic progress. Presence of the nursing professionals should be encouraged, given their undisputed capacity to interact with the community and promote the development of healthy environments. Community nursing works with the population through interventions on health promotion and achievement of a lifestyle change, that allows to seek better quality of life incidental in the development of built environments meeting the needs of specific communities. In this context, prevention is the best way to avoid the state of insanity in the city, and according to this paper the nurse community is the key

Entwicklung eines Data Warehouse für das Produktionscontrolling:Konzepte und Erfahrungen

Aufgabe eines Data Warehouse ist die schnelle und flexible Bereitstellung entscheidungsrelevanter Daten. Es stellt damit - je nach Interpretation - eine Weiterentwicklung der Entscheidungsunterstützungssysteme oder eine auf Analyseaufgaben ausgerichtete Datenbank dar. Um seine Aufgabe erfüllen zu können, muß ein Data Warehouse heterogene Datenquellen zu einer stabilen, konsistenten Datenbasis zusammenführen, Detaildaten für die analytischen Auswertungen (vor-)verdichten sowie auch zeitraumbezogene Längsschnittanalysen unterstützen. Die Entwicklung eines Warehouse unterscheidet sich deshalb in vielen Punkten von der Entwicklung eines traditionellen, transaktionsorientierten Anwendungssystems. Der folgende Beitrag diskutiert, welche Aufgaben jeweils in den verschiedenen Phasen einer Data Wareouse-Entwicklung anfallen und wie diese Aufgaben durchgeführt werden können. Die vorgestellten Konzepte und Erfahrungen sind Ergebnisse eines Kooperationsprojekts zwischen dem Institut und einem großen Maschinenbauunternehmen.<br/
