Las cooperativas no agropecuarias en Cuba

    Get PDF

AlScN: A III-V semiconductor based ferroelectric

Ferroelectric switching is unambigiously demonstrated for the first time in a III-V semiconductor based material: AlScN -- A discovery which could help to satisfy the urgent demand for thin film ferroelectrics with high performance and good technological compatibility with generic semiconductor technology which arises from a multitude of memory, micro/nano-actuator and emerging applications based on controlling electrical polarization. The appearance of ferroelectricity in AlScN can be related to the continuous distortion of the original wurtzite-type crystal structure towards a layered-hexagonal structure with increasing Sc content and tensile strain, which is expected to be extendable to other III-nitride based solid solutions. Coercive fields which are systematically adjustable by more than 3 MV/cm, high remnant polarizations in excess of 100 \mu C/cm2^2 which constitute the first experimental estimate of the previously inaccessible spontaneous polarization in a III-nitride based material, an almost ideally square-like hysteresis resulting in excellent piezoelectric linearity over a wide strain interval from -0.3% to +0.4% as well as a paraelectric transition temperature in excess of 600{\deg}C are confirmed. This intriguing combination of properties is to our knowledge as of now unprecedented in the field of polycrystalline ferroelectric thin films and promises to significantly advance the commencing integration of ferroelectric functionality to micro- and nanotechnology, while at the same time providing substantial insight to one of the central open questions of the III-nitride semiconductors - that of their actual spontaneous polarization

Agricultural cooperatives have a long tradition in Cuba, however until December 2012 there was no possibility to form cooperatives for other different activities. The Cuban economic model aims to be updated by the promulgation of a set of experimental rules regulating the constitution, structure, member´s status and accounting duties of non agricultural cooperatives. The purpose of this study is to describe the basic features of this new Cuban cooperatives and compare their status to that of Spanish cooperatives regulated by Law 27/1999.Las cooperativas agropecuarias tienen una gran tradición en Cuba; sin embargo, hasta diciembre de 2012 no existía la posibilidad de constituir cooperativas dedicadas a actividades diferentes de las agropecuarias. Medidas para la mitigación y la adaptación al cambio climático en el planeamiento urbano. Guía metodológica

    Get PDF

A glassy phase in quenched disordered graphene and crystalline membranes

We investigate the flat phase of DD-dimensional crystalline membranes embedded in a dd-dimensional space and submitted to both metric and curvature quenched disorders using a nonperturbative renormalization group approach. We identify a second order phase transition controlled by a finite-temperature, finite-disorder fixed point unreachable within the leading order of ϵ=4D\epsilon=4-D and 1/d1/d expansions. This critical point divides the flow diagram into two basins of attraction: that associated to the finite-temperature fixed point controlling the long distance behaviour of disorder-free membranes and that associated to the zero-temperature, finite-disorder fixed point. Our work thus strongly suggests the existence of a whole low-temperature glassy phase for quenched disordered graphene, graphene-like compounds and, more generally, crystalline membranes.Comment: 6 pages, 1 figur

Fragmenting networks by targeting collective influencers at a mesoscopic level

A practical approach to protecting networks against epidemic processes such as spreading of infectious diseases, malware, and harmful viral information is to remove some influential nodes beforehand to fragment the network into small components. Because determining the optimal order to remove nodes is a computationally hard problem, various approximate algorithms have been proposed to efficiently fragment networks by sequential node removal. Morone and Makse proposed an algorithm employing the non-backtracking matrix of given networks, which outperforms various existing algorithms. In fact, many empirical networks have community structure, compromising the assumption of local tree-like structure on which the original algorithm is based. We develop an immunization algorithm by synergistically combining the Morone-Makse algorithm and coarse graining of the network in which we regard a community as a supernode. In this way, we aim to identify nodes that connect different communities at a reasonable computational cost. The proposed algorithm works more efficiently than the Morone-Makse and other algorithms on networks with community structure.Comment: 5 figures, 3 tables, and SI include

Tulczyjew triples in the constrained dynamics of strings

    Get PDF
We show that there exists a natural Tulczyjew triple in the dynamics of objects for which the standard kinematic configuration space TMTM, i.e. the tangent bundle, is replaced with its nn-th exterior power, i.e. the bundle of tangent nn-vectors. In this framework, which is fully covariant, we geometrically derive phase equations, as well as Euler-Lagrange equations, including nonholonomic constraints into the picture. Dynamics of strings and a constrained Plateau problem in statics are particular cases of this framework.Comment: 14 pages. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1401.697

Dielectric characterization of multiferroic magnetoelectric double-perovskite Y(Ni0.5Mn0.5)O3 thin films

We report on the functional properties of the Y(Ni0.5Mn0.5)O3 epitaxial thin films, growth by pulsed laser deposition, observing the clear features of their ferroelectric and ferromagnetic nature at cryogenic temperature. The characterization of temperature-dependent complex impedance spectroscopy has shown a dielectric anomaly around the ferromagnetic Curie temperature (100 K) indicative of coupling between magnetic and electric orders. The financial support by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacion of the Spanish Government (Grant No. BES-2009-028641 and Project Nos.
