Creative Thinking Ability on Mathematics of Junior High School in Palu Based on School Levels
Students’ creative thinking skills on mathematics is an important component that must be owned by a student, so with this ability will help students in solving mathematical problems, as well as everyday problems. Problem-based learning combined with cognitive conflict strategy (PBLCC) can be implemented for this ability. PBLCC is based- learning problem, where the problems are the facts presented, situation that contrasts cognition structures students. In this situation there is conflict between the knowledge possessed by students who deliberately provided situation. The main problem in this study is how creative thinking ability of students mathematical VIII grade junior high school students based on School Levels. This research is experimental research. Population in this study is to VIII grade junior high school in the city of Palu. Instruments used in this study include mathematics tests, student’s record, test mathematical ability to think creatively. The purpose of the research to be conducted are: Review and analyze the differences in mathematical creative thinking skills of students who received problem-based learning with cognitive conflict strategy (PBLCC) based on School Levels(high , medium, and low).

Creative thinking as orchestrated by semantic processing vs. cognitive control brain networks.
Creativity is primarily investigated within the neuroscientific perspective as a unitary construct. While such an approach is beneficial when trying to infer the general picture regarding creativity and brain function, it is insufficient if the objective is to uncover the information processing brain mechanisms by which creativity occurs. As creative thinking emerges through the dynamic interplay between several cognitive processes, assessing the neural correlates of these operations would enable the development and characterization of an information processing framework from which to better understand this complex ability. This article focuses on two aspects of creative cognition that are central to generating original ideas. "Conceptual expansion" refers to the ability to widen one's conceptual structures to include unusual or novel associations, while "overcoming knowledge constraints" refers to our ability to override the constraining influence imposed by salient or pertinent knowledge when trying to be creative. Neuroimaging and neuropsychological evidence is presented to illustrate how semantic processing and cognitive control networks in the brain differentially modulate these critical facets of creative cognition
Emotional creativity and real-life involvement in different types of creative leisure activities
The role of emotional creativity in practicing creative leisure activities and in the preference of college majors remains unknown. The present study aims to explore how emotional creativity measured by the Emotional Creativity Inventory (ECI; Averill, 1999) is interrelated with the real-life involvement in different types of specific creative leisure activities and with four categories of college majors. Data were collected from 251 university students, university graduates and young adults (156 women and 95 men). Art students and graduates scored significantly higher on the ECI than other majors. Humanities scored significantly higher than technical/economic majors. Five creative leisure activities were significantly correlated with the ECI, specifically, writing, painting, composing music, performing drama, and do-it-yourself home improvement. Transmediation: Rethinking dynamic design for co-creation
360° media narratives exist and have existed for some time across multiple technologies and spaces. Our contemporary ability (and desire) to participate in media creation expands the possibilities for co-creative collaborative narratives continuously. So, how do we rethink design for 360° flexible, repurposable, engaging narratives? In this presentation, Cláudia rethinks potential narratives ahead
Does higher education foster critical and creative learners? An exploration of two universities in South Korea and the USA
This paper describes two studies that explore students' beliefs about critical and creative learning at two universities, and considers the implications of those beliefs in comparison to the universities' stated education goals. One is a mixed method study of students at a top university in Korea, and the second is a comparative study between the Korean university and a United States (US) university. The first study found that both high-achievers and the general population at a top Korean university perceived their critical and creative abilities as lower than their receptive learning abilities, and that higher achievers were neither more critical nor creative than lower achievers. The second study finds that the Korean university students, compared to US students, were more likely to rate their receptive learning ability as higher than their critical and creative learning abilities. Comparisons across year of higher education (HE) suggest that Korean students' perceptions did not significantly change with respect to year in school, while US students' perceptions of critical learning abilities significantly increased across school years. Results are discussed with respect to the impact of culture, epistemological beliefs, and HE instruction on critical and creative learning
Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Peserta Didik SMA
Has be done research about the effect of Problem Based Learning model on students' creative thinking abilityin SMAS Katolik St. John Paul II maumere. This type of research is a quasi experiment with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling is done by nonprobability sampling technique, (class XI MIA 1 and class XI MIA), which is satueated sampling where all populations are sampled. The creative thinking ability of students in this study were collected with creative thinking ability test in the form of essay test consisted 10 items and observation sheets. The result showed that : 1) the average score of creative thinking ability from students who take learning using Problem Based Learning model are 73.80; 2) the average score of creative thinking ability from students who take learning with Expository Learning model are 65.97; 3) there are differences in creative thinking ability significantly between students who learn to use the Problem Based Learning model with students who learn to use Expository Learning model. Students who learned Problem Based Learning model show better think creative than who learned Expository Learning model. Thus, Proble, Based Learning model influences students creative thinking abilities
Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa Melalui Creative Problem Solving
Creative thinking ability is the one of important things in mathematics lesson. In developing such creative thinking ability, teachers must be good at giving ideas and issues which are relatively different from before, so that we can find something new. The authors formulate the problem: Do the creative thinking abilities of students who received Creative Problem Solving learning better than students who received conventional learning?Quasi-experimental research with experimental design (Nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design) aims to determine students' achievement of creative thinking abilities through Creative Problem Solving. The benefits of this research are expected to improve the students' creative thinking ability through CPS further in SMPN 2 South Tarogong. The instrument used in this study is a written test form with a description of the subject lines and angles. The population was all students of class VIII SMPN 2 South Tarogong; the sample of the selected class is VII-D and VII-E class. From the analysis of data normality test results of initial tests, obtained a score in the experimental class was not normal, so the test followed by Mann Whitney test, the gain was normalized. These results indicate that: (1) The improvement of students' creative thinking ability who received Creative Problem Solving learning better than students who received conventional learning, (2) The improvement of students' creative thinking ability who received Creative Problem Solving learning included into the high category, (3) The students' attitude of the experiment class on the subjects of mathematics and Creative Problem Solving learning was dominated by a positive attitude
