A Participatory Universe of J. A. Wheeler as an Intentional Correlate of Embodied Subjects and an Example of Purposiveness in Physics
This paper investigates the role of human subjectivity and its delimiters in
articulating the universe in physics and cosmology. As a case study, we reflect
upon the complex of ideas of the so called Participatory Universe by later J.
A. Wheeler. The objective of the paper is to explicate the role of the human
agency as a centre of disclosure and manifestation of the universe as well the
as teleology of scientific representation of the world implied by the intrinsic
purposiveness of human actions.Comment: 22 pages, 1 figur

Philosophy of Intellect and Vision in the De anima of Themistius
Themistius (317–c. 387) was born into an aristocratic family and ran a paripatetic school of philosophy in Constantinople in the mid-fourth century, between 345 and 355. He made use of Alexander’s De anima in his commentary on the De anima of Aristotle, which is considered to be the earliest surviving commentary on Aristotle’s work, as Alexander’s commentary itself did not survive. Themistius may also have been influenced by Plotinus, and Porphyry (232–309), whom he criticizes. Themistius refers often to works of Plato, especially the Timaeus, and attempts a synthesis of Aristotle and Plato, a synthesis which was continued in the Neoplatonic tradition. As it has been seen in Alexander that thought and perception are intimately connected, almost identical, Themistius goes to much greater length to differentiate the two. Sense perception must be distinguished from reasoning, because all animals are capable of sense perception, while only humans are capable of reasoning; while there are only five kinds of sense perception, there are many varieties of the capacity for reasoning; and the functions of sense perception and reasoning can be differentiated
We Are Not Alone: Perception and The Others
In this paper, I have outlined an original Metaphysics of Perception which takes into consideration some of the most common views about perception in the contemporary debate. Then I will look at the consequences of this metaphysics about our perception of others and what we know about them. In the third section, I suggest how to make sense of certain neuroscientific discoveries about social perception and social cognition. In the conclusion, I recap what has been done to say that others are what we can know after all
Традиционализм через призму неосентименталистского дискурса (на примере драматургии В. Гуркина)
The article analyzes the specificity of the traditionalism trends functioning in the Russian literature
of the second half of the XX century in the context of neosentimentalism discourse. Its universality
and functional multiplicity provides its widespread penetration into the literary process of that time
and integration with various literary phenomena: postmodernism, feminine prose, literature of
“new biographism”, “new drama”, etc. Neosentimentalist discourse activation becomes a means of
overcoming crisis results of postmodern intellectual paradigm and primarily performs the rehabilitation
function, reviving a set of constants, including an ethical one and that of human existence. Axiological
potential of neosentimentalist discourse is represented through the category of corporeity, acquiring
positive semantic connotations. Integration of neosentimentalist discourse with the literature of
traditionalism provides the evidence of a state of its (literature) crisis and tendency to vary the forms
and methods of artistic expressionВ статье рассматривается специфика функционирования тенденции традиционализма
