Consensus via Adaptation of the network structure

    No full text
In this paper, we solve the consensus problem in networks of integrators by evolving the network structure. Specifically, by extending the edge snapping mechanism presented in the literature, we propose evolving approaches leading to the emergence of directed networks at steady-state. We show both theoretically and numerically that these novel strategies can be employed to promote the emergence of consensus on a specified value, which is not necessarily the average of the initial conditions, as in the original work on edge snapping
