On M-9-branes and their dimensional reductions
The M-9-brane Wess-Zumino action is constructed, and by using it, consistency
of the relation of p-branes for , suggested on the basis of
superalgebra, is discussed.Comment: 6 pages, Latex. Contribution to the proceedings of the D.V.Volkov's

Meson-baryon interaction in the meson exchange picture
This is the contribution to the proceedings of the MENU 2010 conference. The
recent work of Ref. [7] is summarized. Elastic piN scattering and the reaction
pi^+ p --> K^+ Sigma^+ are described simultaneously in a unitary
coupled-channels approach which respects analyticity. SU(3) flavor symmetry is
used to relate the t- and u- channel exchanges that drive the meson-baryon
interaction in the different channels. Angular distributions, polarizations,
and spin-rotation parameters are compared with available experimental data. The
pole structure of the amplitudes is extracted from the analytic continuation.Comment: 4 pages, contribution to the proceedings of the MENU 2010 conference,

Future of B Physics at CDF and DO
In this contribution to the panel discussion on ``The Future of Hadron B
Experiments'' held at the 8th International Conference on B Physics at Hadron
Machines (Beauty 2002) at Santiago de Compostela, Spain, we explore the physics
potential for B physics at CDF and DO in five years and beyond. After a brief
introduction to precision flavour physics, we concentrate our discussion on the
future of CP violation by evaluating the prospects for measuring the CKM angles
beta, gamma and alpha at the Tevatron Collider experiments CDF and DO by the
end of Run II.Comment: Posting for the archives: Contribution to Panel Discussion on "The

Properties and origin of the old, metal rich, star cluster, NGC 6791
In this contribution I summarize the unique properties of the old, metal
rich, star cluster NGC 6791, with particular emphasis on its population of
extreme blue horizontal branch stars. I then conclude providing my personal
view on the origin of this fascinating star cluster.Comment: 7 pages, 4 eps figures, paper presented at the 10th Pacific Rim

The Research of Thomas P. Branson
The Midwest Geometry Conference 2007 was devoted to the substantial
mathematical legacy of Thomas P. Branson who passed away unexpectedly the
previous year. This contribution to the Proceedings briefly introduces this
legacy. We also take the opportunity of recording his bibliography. Thomas
Branson was on the Editorial Board of SIGMA and we are pleased that SIGMA is
able to publish the Proceedings.Comment: This is a contribution to the Proceedings of the 2007 Midwest
