EFFECT OF INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE WORKING PRACTICES AND RESULTS OF ENTREPRENEURIAL LEARNING INTEREST IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP ONLINE CLASS XII NETWORK COMPUTER ENGINEERING ENTIRE SMK NEGERI REGENCY KULON PROGO ACADEMIC YEAR 2012/2013
This study aimed to determine the effect of industry experience working practices and learning outcomes of entrepreneurship either individually or jointly to the online student interest in entrepreneurship class XII network computer engineering entire SMK Negeri regency Kulon Progo academic year 2012/2013.
This research is Ex-post facto. The subject class XII student of Computer Engineering Network SMK 2 and SMK Negeri 2 Compassionate Nanggulan number of 64 students. Data retrieved using the method of documentation and questionnaires. The validity of the questionnaire instrument conducted by professional judgment through rational analysis and reliability testing using Cronbach Alpha formula. Testing the hypothesis with the Product Moment Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis, which previously conducted test requirements analysis includes tests of normality, linearity, heteroskedastitas test, autocorrelation and multicollinearity test.
The results showed that: (1). There is positive and significant correlation between experience of industrial work practices to students' interest in entrepreneurship class XII network computer engineering entire SMK Negeri regency Kulon Progo academic year 2012/2013, evidenced by the correlation coefficient rhitung> rtabel (0.258> 0.246) with the effective contribution of 2, 2% and Y = 39.708 +0.329 X1. (2). There is positive and significant correlation between entrepreneurship learning outcomes of the students' interest in entrepreneurship class XII network computer engineering entire SMK Negeri regency Kulon Progo academic year 2012/2013, with a correlation coefficient rhitung> rtabel (0.510> 0.246) with a contribution of 24.5% effective and Y = -50.155 +1.418 X2 (3). There is positive and significant correlation between experience of industrial work practices and entrepreneurial learning outcomes together toward student interest in entrepreneurship class XII network computer engineering entire SMK Negeri regency Kulon Progo academic year 2012/2013, with a correlation coefficient rhitung> rtabel (0.517> 0.246 ) with the effective contribution of 26.7% and Y = -51.516 +0.111 X1 +1.331 X2.

THE RELATION BETWEEN THE INTENSITY OF THE USE OF COMPUTER LABORATORY FACILITY AND LEARNING MOTIVATION AND LEARNING RESULT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (TIK) OF GRADE XI COMPUTER AND NETWORK ENGINEERING IN SMK NEGERI 2 DEPOK SLEMAN ACADEMIC YEAR 2012/2013
This study aimed to discover (1) the relation between intensity of the use of
computer laboratory facility and TIK learning result of grade 11 computer and network
engineering students of SMKN 2 Depok Sleman Academic Year 2012/2013, (2) the
relation between learning motivation and TIK learning result of grade XI computer and
network engineering students of SMKN 2 Depok Sleman Academic Year 2012/2013,
(3) the relation between the intensity of the use of computer laboratory facility and
learning motivation at the same time and TIK learning result of grade XI computer and
network engineering students of SMKN 2 Depok Sleman Academic Year 2012/2013.
This study was a descriptive correlation Ex-post Facto research with quantitative
approach. The population of this study was 62 grade XI computer and network
engineering students of SMKN 2 Depok Sleman Academic Year 2012/2013. Data
collection method for the Intensity of the Use of Computer Laboratory Facility and Learning
Motivation variables was closed questionnaires with likert scale, while for TIK Learning
Result variable the method was documentation of TIK scores in report cards from
the first semester to the second semester. Research instrument validity was tested with
item analysis calculated with Product moment correlation formula. Instrument reliability
was calculated with Alpha Cronbach formula. Data analysis technique to test
hypothesis 1 and 2 was Product moment correlation, while hypothesis 3 used
multiple regression analysis technique with two predictors.
Research results showed that (1) there was positive relation between the Intensity
of the Used of Computer Laboratory Facility (X1) and TIK Learning Result (Y) which
showed in rx1y value 0.515 and r2x1y value 0.265 as well as SE 14.6% and SR 44.2%.
(2) there was positive relation between Learning Motivation (X2) and TIK Learning
Result (Y) which showed in rx2y value 0.532 and r2x2y value 0.283 as well as SE 18.3%
and SR 55.8%. (3) there was positive relation between the Intensity of the Use of
Computer Laboratory Facility (X1), and Learning Motivation (X2) at the same time and
TIK Learning Result (Y) which was showed by multiple regression coefficient Ry(1,2)
0.573 and moderate correlation interpretation and coefficient of determination (R2)
score 0.329 which meant that 32.9 % of change in TIK Learning Result variable (Y)
could be explained by Intensity of the Use of Computer Laboratory Facility (X1) and
Learning Motivation (X2) variables.

Hands-on Learning in Multiple Courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering
It has been reported that persistence rate of engineering students is relatively low. Several new pedagogical paradigms have been proposed to improve engineering education, such as the use of “hands-on” tools to change the learning style in the engineering classroom to more engaging teaching pedagogies. An approach that is being used to engage and retain electrical and computer engineering students is the Analog Discovery board (ADB). The paper describes the hands-on learning experiences of students who used the ADB in multiple courses. The paper discusses (i) the various laboratory experiments and class projects performed by the students, (ii) the knowledge and skills learnt by the students and (iii) the lessons learnt by the instructors while introducing ADB into freshman and junior level courses in the electrical and computer engineering. Preliminary data indicate that students are benefiting from the use of the ADB. Students report increases in their interest in subject content, motivation to learn, and confidence in their ability to learn.Cockrell School of Engineerin
Engineering Change in Mexico: The Adoption of Computer Technology at Grupo ICA (1965-1971)
This article documents the adoption of computer technology by a civil engineering services and construction company in Mexico at the time that it became the first Mexican multinational enterprise. Computerization took place independently of cross border growth. The challenges, failures and successes of computerization attest to the transformation in the use of computer applications from the mechanization of routine procedures to the creative use of these applications. In line with company policy, the latter lead to the establishment of the computer centre as a standalone, profit generating business unit. However, this policy responded to ‘laissez faire’ and fiscal (i.e. minimizing tax payments) rather than strategic considerations. To little surprise computer services never grew to be a significant income stream.Computer centers, History, Data processing, Computer integrated engineering, Mexico
