Analyse the risks of ad hoc programming in web development and develop a metrics of appropriate tools
Today the World Wide Web has become one of the most powerful tools for business promotion and social networking. As the use of websites and web applications to promote the businesses has increased drastically over the past few years, the complexity of managing them and protecting them from security threats has become a complicated task for the organizations. On the other hand, most of the web projects are at risk and less secure due to lack of quality programming. Although there are plenty of frameworks available for free in the market to improve the quality of programming, most of the programmers use ad hoc programming rather than using frameworks which could save their time and repeated work. The research identifies the different frameworks in PHP and .NET programming, and evaluates their benefits and drawbacks in the web application development. The research aims to help web development companies to minimize the risks involved in developing large web projects and develop a metrics of appropriate frameworks to be used for the specific projects. The study examined the way web applications were developed in different software companies and the advantages of using frameworks while developing them. The findings of the results show that it was not only the experience of developers that motivated them to use frameworks. The major conclusions and recommendations drawn from this research were that the main reasons behind web developers avoiding frameworks are that they are difficult to learn and implement. Also, the motivations factors for programmers towards using frameworks were self-efficiency, habit of learning new things and awareness about the benefits of frameworks. Map Resources – ECO Farms in the Czech Republic
The present paper deals with the creation of maps for the sake of a special map portal using the database of eco farms in the Czech Republic. The map output is being developed and implemented within the framework of the Research Program in mutual cooperation of the Department of Information Technologies, Information and Consulting Centre, other departments of the Faculty of Economics and Management CULS Prague with external partners, especially with the Ministry of Agriculture (Environment and Ecological Agriculture Section, Department of Ecological Agriculture) and the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Information (UZEI) - Division of Agro-environmental Policy in Brno. The maps are visualized by means of MPPR 1.0 system and have been processed – in the pilot stage - for the South Bohemian Region eco farms. The results represent initial data from 2009 (as at 31st December 2009) that have been processed, verified and complemented in the course of 2010

Automation on the generation of genome scale metabolic models
Background: Nowadays, the reconstruction of genome scale metabolic models is
a non-automatized and interactive process based on decision taking. This
lengthy process usually requires a full year of one person's work in order to
satisfactory collect, analyze and validate the list of all metabolic reactions
present in a specific organism. In order to write this list, one manually has
to go through a huge amount of genomic, metabolomic and physiological
information. Currently, there is no optimal algorithm that allows one to
automatically go through all this information and generate the models taking
into account probabilistic criteria of unicity and completeness that a
biologist would consider. Results: This work presents the automation of a
methodology for the reconstruction of genome scale metabolic models for any
organism. The methodology that follows is the automatized version of the steps
implemented manually for the reconstruction of the genome scale metabolic model
of a photosynthetic organism, {\it Synechocystis sp. PCC6803}. The steps for
the reconstruction are implemented in a computational platform (COPABI) that
generates the models from the probabilistic algorithms that have been
developed. Conclusions: For validation of the developed algorithm robustness,
the metabolic models of several organisms generated by the platform have been
studied together with published models that have been manually curated. Network
properties of the models like connectivity and average shortest mean path of
the different models have been compared and analyzed.Comment: 24 pages, 2 figures, 2 table
Implementing a Decision-Aware System for Loan Contracting Decision Process
The paper introduces our work related to the design and implementation of a decision-aware system focused on the loan contracting decision process. A decision-aware system is a software that enables the user to make a decision in a simulated environment and logs all the actions of the decision maker while interacting with the software. By using a mining algorithm on the logs, it creates a model of the decision process and presents it to the user. The main design issue introduced in the paper is the possibility to log the mental actions of the user. The main implementation issues are: user activity logging programming and technologies used. SISTEM INFORMASI YUDISIUM BERBASIS SMS GATEWAY MENGGUNAKAN FRAMEWORK CODEIGNITER
Perguruan tinggi biasanya menyediakan sebuah website sebagai media dalam
menyampaikan informasi. Informasi dapat berupa nilai yudisium mahasiswa dan informasi
terbaru seputar perkuliahan. Kedua informasi tersebut hanya dapat diakses oleh mahasiswa
melalui jaringan internet. Mahasiswa yang tidak mempunyai akses internet sulit untuk
mengetahui informasi nilai yudisium dan perkuliahan. Dengan perkembangan teknologi
saat ini, dapat dikembangkan suatu sistem informasi yudisium berbasis SMS Gateway.
SMS Gateway adalah penghubung untuk lalu lintas data pesan singkat atau SMS, baik
yang dikirimkan maupun yang diterima. Sistem informasi ini dikembangkan menggunakan
bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan Framework CodeIgniter. Framework CodeIgniter
merupakan teknik pemrograman menggunakan konsep Model, View, Controller (MVC)
yang memisahkan antara desain, data, dan proses. Sistem ini dibangun menggunakan
MySQL sebagai sistem manajemen basis data dan GAMMU sebagai tools untuk
menghubungkan perangkat komputer dengan perangkat komunikasi (telepon seluler dan
modem). Sistem informasi ini diharapkan dapat digunakan untuk melakukan pengelolaan
data mahasiswa, nilai mahasiswa dan lalu lintas pesan singkat, baik yang dikirim maupun

Rancang Bangun Sistem Pengelolaan Data Kuliah Kerja Lapang Plus Memanfaatkan Framework Codeigniter dengan Menggunakan Metode Waterfall
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun suatu sistem untuk pengelolaan data Kuliah Kerja Lapang Plus (KKLP) berbasis web memanfaatkan framework CodeIgniter dengan menggunakan metode waterfall. Sistem ini dibuat dengan berbasis web untuk dapat memudahkan berbagai pihak yang terkait dalam mengakses sistem ini. Pemanfaatan framework CodeIgniter, yang merupakan salah satu konsep penerapan Model View Controller (MVC) akan memudahkan dalam membangun sistem ini. Penggunaan metode waterfall akan membuat setiap tahapan dalam pembuatan sistem ini menjadi lebih terstruktur. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan dengan mengambil studi kasus pengelolaan KKLP pada kampus STMIK KHARISMA Makassar. Sistem yang selama ini sudah berjalan pada kampus tersebut masih belum menggunakan sistem komputerisasi dengan data digital yang terpusat. Penggunaan komputer hanya terbatas untuk mencetak dokumen-dokumen yang diperlukan dalam prosesnya. Sistem ini nantinya diharapkan dapat menggantikan sistem yang lama sehingga dapat membantu pihak STMIK KHARISMA Makassar dan dapat menjadi referensi buat pihak lain dalam melalukan pengelolaan data KKLP
HiTRACE-Web: an online tool for robust analysis of high-throughput capillary electrophoresis
To facilitate the analysis of large-scale high-throughput capillary
electrophoresis data, we previously proposed a suite of efficient analysis
software named HiTRACE (High Throughput Robust Analysis of Capillary
Electrophoresis). HiTRACE has been used extensively for quantitating data from
RNA and DNA structure mapping experiments, including mutate-and-map contact
inference, chromatin footprinting, the EteRNA RNA design project and other
high-throughput applications. However, HiTRACE is based on a suite of
command-line MATLAB scripts that requires nontrivial efforts to learn, use, and
extend. Here we present HiTRACE-Web, an online version of HiTRACE that includes
standard features previously available in the command-line version as well as
additional features such as automated band annotation and flexible adjustment
of annotations, all via a user-friendly environment. By making use of
parallelization, the on-line workflow is also faster than software

Penelitian ini menerapkan pengembangan sebuah solusi teknologi informasi pada permasalahan bisnis rumah indekost dengan perancangan prototype website e-commerce.Teknologi informasi merupakan bagian yang vital untuk penyaluran informasi dari segi manajemen dan komunikasi ditengah lingkungan bisnis modern.Pada sistem aplikasi ini berguna untuk menyalurkan informasi untuk periklanan dan penjualan jasa yang berhubungan dengan bisnis indekost untuk kepuasan kebutuhan mahasiswa.Sistem aplikasi ini membantu mahasiswa untuk menemukan rumah indekost yang sesuai keinginan dan membantu pemilik indekost untuk mengiklankan lokasi rumah indekost. Pada penelitian ini, menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem SDLD (System Development Life Cycle) yang dimulai dengan tahap perencanaan sistem, analisis kebutuhan sistem, desain program, implementasi sistem, kemudian pengujian sistem. Software pendukung aplikasi ini dengan menggunakan framework codeigniter. Prototype E-commerce ini telah diuji dari segi verifikasi, validasi, dan pengujian prototype.Dari hasil pengujian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Prototype E-commerce ini telah berhasil dan sesuai dengan tujuan perancangan sistem
