    Get PDF
Nowadays, IT resources are increasingly being used in all areas of the health sector. Cloud computing offers a promising approach to satisfy the IT needs in a favorable way. Despite numerous publications in the context of cloud computing in healthcare, there is no systematic review on current research so far. This paper addresses the gap and is aimed to identify the state of research and determine the potential areas of future research in the domain. We conduct a structured literature search based on an established framework. Through clustering of the research goals of the found papers we derive research topics including developing cloud-based applications, platforms or brokers, security and privacy mechanisms, and benefit assessments for the use of cloud computing in healthcare. We hence analyze current research results across the topics and deduce areas for future research, e.g., development, validation and improvement of proposed solutions, an evaluation framework

The use of internet technology continues to increase, not least for the health world. Ease of access to information of a hospital is needed by people who want to do both emergency and periodic checks, one of which is the registration process and schedule information doctors at the hospital. In addition, easy access to information by doctors who do to know the history of patients who are treated is also very necessary. the existence of cloud computing technology, the problem can be solved by making network infrastructure by using one of cloud computing service that is Infrastructure as a Service (Iaas). With this infrastructure, one hospital with another hospital can connect to each other use cloud computing network, with the help of VMWare virtualization technology and Network Attached Storage (NAS) data storage. In addition, Mobilebased E-Hospital Applications are made. On the server made database that contains information about the patient registration data, life history, schedule doctors And the diagnosis of the patient. . In terms of data security application is applied encryption and data decryption using Blowfish algorithm so that data delivery process that happened can be more secure. In the encryption process E-Hospital so The length of the key used does not affect the timing of the encryption and decryption process

Cloud computing is a model for providing on-demand access to a shared pool of computational resources in a cost-efficient and convenient manner, involving minimal interaction with the cloud provider. Within the last eight years cloud computing has evolved from a promising, emerging technology to a credible alternative for fulfilling organizations' IT needs. Previous research has addressed a variety of issues including cloud sourcing and implementation in organizations. However, there is a gap in our understanding when it comes to the implications of cloud-based information systems on business process outsourcing (BPO). The objective of this dissertation is to contribute to the understanding of how the introduction of cloud-based-information systems affects BPO arrangements. The context of this research is professional business-to-business (B2B) services outsourcing by small and medium-sized enterprises (SME). This setting is depicted as an outsourcing triangle, which includes a client company, a professional service provider, and a cloud-based information system. The four essays included in this dissertation investigate the implications of cloud computing from the perspective of the three sides of the triangle. The first essay seeks to understand factors behind cloud computing adoption in organizations. The second and third essays investigate the outsourcing patterns of client companies and BPO decision-making in the context of cloud-based information systems. Finally, the fourth essay addresses changes in the organization of professional service providers. The main theoretical contributions of the dissertation include (1) a revised cloud computing adoption framework, (2) a conceptualization of the outsourcing continuum, (3) an enhanced understanding of transaction costs in the cloud context, and (4) a framework of virtual organization for professional B2B service providers. For practitioners, this dissertation offers a set of guidelines for the implementation of cloud-based information systems in BPO arrangements, and the reorganization of work to suit the technology

The Meaningful Use of Cloud Computing in Healthcare

This dissertation focuses on the meaning of cloud computing for healthcare and its meaningful use in the healthcare industry. If used in a meaningful way, cloud computing is argued to be able to provide major benefits to the healthcare industry. Surprisingly, the benefits promised by using cloud computing often do not hold in practice, and the deployment of cloud computing services in healthcare organizations could lead to countereffects for healthcare. Although existing research studies cover a wide range of domains in healthcare, they often do not explain the way in which cloud computing could support healthcare in a systematic manner. In reply to that insufficiency in the research, this dissertation aims to investigate the phenomenon of cloud computing in healthcare organizations and to answer the following overarching research question: How can cloud computing support healthcare organizations in a meaningful way (i.e., meaningful use)? This dissertation conducted four research studies by employing established explorative research methods. The dissertation begins with a study (study 1) that investigates the basic properties of cloud computing services and their specific meanings for the healthcare industry, and suggests concrete directions for studies related to the meaningful use of cloud computing in healthcare. Study 2 focuses on the identification of industry-specific factors for the adoption of cloud computing services in healthcare, and studies 3 and 4 on an investigation of the way in which cloud computing supports collaborative activities in healthcare, respectively. Both focuses belong to research directions suggested by study 1. By addressing the overarching research question, this dissertation could deepen our understanding of the use of information technology (IT) artefacts that advances information systems theories, not only regarding cloud computing itself but also in terms of more general health IT levels
