Experimental evidence for vibrational resonance and enhanced signal transmission in Chua's circuit
We consider a single Chua's circuit and a system of a unidirectionally
coupled n-Chua's circuits driven by a biharmonic signal with two widely
different frequencies \omega and \Omega, where \Omega >> \omega. We show
experimental evidence for vibrational resonance in the single Chua's circuit
and undamped signal propagation of a low-frequency signal in the system of
n-coupled Chua's circuits where only the first circuit is driven by the
biharmonic signal. In the single circuit, we illustrate the mechanism of
vibrational resonance and the influence of the biharmonic signal parameters on
the resonance. In the n(= 75)-coupled Chua's circuits enhanced propagation of
low-frequency signal is found to occur for a wide range of values of the
amplitude of the high-frequency input signal and coupling parameter. The
response amplitude of the ith circuit increases with i and attains a
saturation. Moreover, the unidirectional coupling is found to act as a low-pass

Hopf bifurcation, antimonotonicity and amplitude controls in the chaotic Toda jerk oscillator: analysis, circuit realization and combination synchronization in its fractional-order form
In this paper, an autonomous Toda jerk oscillator is proposed and analysed. The autonomous Toda jerk oscillator is obtained by converting an autonomous two-dimensional Toda oscillator with an exponential nonlinear term to a jerk oscillator. The existence of Hopf bifurcation is established during the stability analysis of the unique equilibrium point. For a suitable choice of the parameters, the proposed autonomous Toda jerk oscillator can generate antimonotonicity, periodic oscillations, chaotic oscillations and bubbles. By introducing two additional parameters in the proposed autonomous Toda jerk oscillator, it is possible to control partially or totally the amplitude of its signals. In addition, electronic circuit realization of the proposed Toda jerk oscillator is carried out to confirm results found during numerical simulations. The commensurate fractional-order version of the proposed autonomous chaotic Toda jerk oscillator is studied using the stability theorem of fractional-order oscillators and numerical simulations. It is found that periodic oscillations and chaos exist in the fractional-order form of the proposed Toda jerk oscillator with order less than three. Finally, combination synchronization of two fractional-order proposed autonomous chaotic Toda jerk oscillators with another fractional-order proposed autonomous chaotic Toda jerk oscillator is analysed using the nonlinear feedback control method
Rikitake dynamo system, its circuit simulation and chaotic synchronization via quasi-sliding mode control
Rikitake dynamo system (1958) is a famous two-disk dynamo model that is capable of executing nonlinear chaotic oscillations similar to the chaotic oscillations as revealed by palaeomagnetic study. First, we detail the Rikitake dynamo system, its signal plots and important dynamic properties. Then a circuit design using Multisim is carried out for the Rikitake dynamo system. New synchronous quasi-sliding mode control (QSMC) for Rikitake chaotic system is studied in this paper. Furthermore, the selection on switching surface and the existence of QSMC scheme is also designed in this paper. The efficiency of the QSMC scheme is illustrated with MATLAB plots
CHAOS SYNCHRONIZATION USING SUPER-TWISTING SLIDING MODE CONTROL APPLIED ON CHUA’S CIRCUIT
Chua’s circuit is the classic chaotic system and the most widely used in serval areas due to its potential for secure communication. However, developing an accurate chaos control strategy is one of the most challenging works for Chua’s circuit. This study proposes a new application of super twisting algorithm (STC) based on sliding mode control (SMC) to eliminate or synchronize the chaos behavior in the circuit. Therefore, the proposed control strategy is robust against uncertainty and effectively regulates the system with a good regulation tracking task. Using the Lyapunov stability, the property of asymptotical stability is verified. The whole of the system including the (control strategy, and Chua’s circuit) is implemented under a suitable test setup based on dSpace1104 to validate the effectiveness of our proposed control scheme. The experimental results show that the proposed control method can effectively eliminate or synchronize the chaos in the Chua's circuit
Towards a Global Controller Design for Guaranteed Synchronization of Switched Chaotic Systems

Concepts from robust control principles and switched linear systems are merged together to derive a sufficient condition for synchronization of identical master-slave switched nonlinear chaotic systems and are expressed in the form of bilinear matrix inequalities (BMIs). The nonlinear controller design problem is then recast in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to facilitate numerical computation by standard LMI solvers and is illustrated by appropriate examples
Fractional-Order Sliding Mode Synchronization for Fractional-Order Chaotic Systems
Some sufficient conditions, which are valid for stability check of fractional-order nonlinear systems, are given in this paper. Based on these results, the synchronization of two fractional-order chaotic systems is investigated. A novel fractional-order sliding surface, which is composed of a synchronization error and its fractional-order integral, is introduced. The asymptotical stability of the synchronization error dynamical system can be guaranteed by the proposed fractional-order sliding mode controller. Finally, two numerical examples are given to show the feasibility of the proposed methods
