Semantic discovery and reuse of business process patterns
Patterns currently play an important role in modern information systems (IS) development and their use has mainly been restricted to the design and implementation phases of the development lifecycle. Given the increasing significance of business modelling in IS development, patterns have the potential of providing a viable solution for promoting reusability of recurrent generalized models in the very early stages of development. As a statement of research-in-progress this paper focuses on business process patterns and proposes an initial methodological framework for the discovery and reuse of business process patterns within the IS development lifecycle. The framework borrows ideas from the domain engineering literature and proposes the use of semantics to drive both the discovery of patterns as well as their reuse
A componente virtual do projeto
A interação
conceitos explorados neste trabalho, e alguns projetos.
Posteriormente, é apontada a recolha, e o lançamento de partilhas
espácio-temporais.
The impermanenceproject is an online and offline community of sound
sharings, with the aim of combating the loneliness of people, who sit on
park benches. Its virtual component corresponds to its social-network
presence in Facebook and Wordpress2, while its physical one is composed
by the execution of events at the public space. The offline interaction of
people boils down to using a park bench, as a digital interface.
This project can be included in the category of Digital Public Art, which is
the combination of Public Art, and Digital Art.
This dissertation begins with a brief exposition of the main artistic
tendencies, that influenced Digital Public Art. Soon after, the concept of
the project is mentioned as well, as the one of Ubiquitous Computing
(UbiComp). Still, in the same section, a crossing between the main
concepts explored in this work, and some projects is approached.
Then the collecting, and the launch of the spatiotemporal sharings is
pointed out. In general terms, they involved the realization of some events
at the urban woods of the Alameda de São Dâmaso, in the city of
Guimarães.
Lastly, a prototype proposal is described, and an attentive analysis of the
interaction-test results is discussed. Besides that, the conclusions, and
hypotheses for further developments are presented
