Semileptonic B Decays in Babar
BaBar measurements involving semileptonic decays of B mesons are reviewed.
Attention is focused on the extraction of |Vub| and |Vcb| elements of the
Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark mixing matrix. Recent results of inclusive and
exclusive approaches are presented.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, Contributed to 11th Lomonosov Conference on

On the quantum 'ax+b'group
The more detailed description of the quantum 'ax+b' group of Baaj and
Skandalis is presented. In particular we give generators and present formulae
for action of the comultiplication on them; it is also shown that this group is
a quantization of a Poisson-Lie structure on a classical 'ax+b' group.Comment: This is the final version as it appeared in Journal of Geometry and

B Physics at the TeVatron
The CDF and D\O\ experiments at the Tevatron collider established
that extensive and detailed exploration of the --quark dynamics is possible
in hadron collisions, with results competitive and supplementary to those from
colliders. This provides a rich, and highly rewarding program that is
currently reaching full maturity. I report a few recent world-leading results
on rare decays, CP-violation in mixing, penguin decays, and
charm physics.Comment: 5 pages, 1 figure, proceedings for IFAE2011. To be published in the

Euler - Heisenberg effective action and magnetoelectric effect in multilayer graphene
The low energy effective field model for the multilayer graphene (at ABC
stacking) is considered. We calculate the effective action in the presence of
constant external magnetic field (normal to the graphene sheet). We also
calculate the first two corrections to this effective action caused by the
in-plane electric field at and discuss the magnetoelectric
effect. In addition, we calculate the imaginary part of the effective action in
the presence of constant electric field and the lowest order correction to
it due to the magnetic field ().Comment: Latex, 24 pages, accepted for publication in Annals of Physic
Search for Light New Physics at B Factories
Many extensions of the Standard Model include the possibility of light new
particles, such as light Higgs bosons or dark matter candidates. These
scenarios can be probed using the large datasets collected by B factories,
complementing measurements performed at the LHC. This review summarizes recent
searches for light New Physics conducted by the BABAR and Belle experiments.Comment: 9 pages, 7 figures, Submitted to Advances in High Energy Physic
