Pengaruh Pemberian Berbagai Bentuk Azolla Dan Pupuk N Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea Mays Var. Saccharata)

“Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Azolla microphylla Untuk Meningkatkan Produktivitas Budidaya Ikan Karamba Waduk Wonogiri”
Waduk Gajah Mungkur merupakan Waduk yang berada di Kabupaten
Wonogiri.
Kecamatan Wonogiri, Kabupaten Wonogiri.

Late Little Ice Age palaeoenvironmental records from the Anzali and Amirkola Lagoons (south Caspian Sea): Vegetation and sea level changes
This is a postprint version of the article. The official published article can be found from the link below - Copyright @ 2011 Elsevier Ltd.Two internationally important Ramsar lagoons on the south coast of the Caspian Sea (CS) have been studied by palynology on short sediment cores for palaeoenvironmental and palaeoclimatic investigations. The sites lie within a small area of very high precipitation in a region that is otherwise dry. Vegetation surveys and geomorphological investigations have been used to provide a background to a multidisciplinary interpretation of the two sequences covering the last four centuries. In the small lagoon of Amirkola, the dense alder forested wetland has been briefly disturbed by fire, followed by the expansion of rice paddies from AD1720 to 1800. On the contrary, the terrestrial vegetation reflecting the diversity of the Hyrcanian vegetation around the lagoon of Anzali remained fairly complacent over time. The dinocyst and non-pollen palynomorph assemblages, revealing changes that have occurred in water salinity and water levels, indicate a high stand during the late Little Ice Age (LIA), from AD < 1620 to 1800–1830. In Amirkola, the lagoon spit remained intact over time, whereas in Anzali it broke into barrier islands during the late LIA, which merged into a spit during the subsequent sea level drop. A high population density and infrastructure prevented renewed breaking up of the spit when sea level reached its maximum (AD1995). Similar to other sites in the region around the southern CS, these two lagoonal investigations indicate that the LIA had a higher sea level as a result of more rainfall in the drainage basin of the CS.The coring and the sedimentological analyses were funded by the Iranian National Institute for Oceanography in the framework of a research project entitled “Investigation of the Holocene sediment along the Iranian coast of Caspian Sea: central Guilan”. The radiocarbon date of core HCGL02 was funded by V. Andrieu (Europôle Méditerranéen de l'Arbois, France) and that of core HCGA04 by Brunel University
Effect of different levels of Azolla meal on growth performance and digestibility of common carp (Cyprinus carpio)
In this study, the effects of different dietary levels of Azolla meal were investigated on growth performance and digestibility of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) fingerlings during 60 days. Five experimental diets approximately iso-protein (30%) and isolipidic (10%), were formulated with different levels of Azolla meal consisting of 0, 15, 25, 35 and 45%, respectively. In each experimental treatment, triplicate groups of common Carp fingerlings (16.5± 0.2 g) were used in a completely randomized design. Twenty fish were assigned to each experimental unit and stocked in 300 L tank. The results showed that the use of Azolla meal up to 15% had no negative effect on growth performance. The growth of fish was reduced significantly with increasing Azolla meal level of more than 15% of diet. Based on results, the apparent digestibility coefficients (ADC) of dry matter decreased with increasing Azolla meal in diets. The highest ADC of protein was observed in control treatment. However, no significant difference was observed between the treatment 2 (diet with 15% Azolla meal) and control (without Azolla meal) for ADC of protein. In general, results of the present study showed that Azolla meal can be used up to 15% in Cyprinus carpio diet
Review paper on the production trials of rice-cum fish culture - a transferable concept into Niger State, Nigeria
This paper reviews the production trials of rice-cum-fish culture. Rice and various fish species using rotation and concurrent methods of cultivation are used. The farming system is mostly practiced and researched in to in Southeast Asian countries. It addresses the problems of high external inputs, sustainable aquaculture, poverty and nutrition in the rural population, insect pests, use of insecticides, weeds control and under-utilization of agricultural lands. The production trials yields are summarized and a summary of annual income per hectare from rice and fish have been given. The yield however depends to a large extent on the species stocked, culture period, fertility of the soil and water, degree of supplemental feeding and culturing methods. The production results are discussed. Niger state is blessed with abundant wetlands/rice fields suitable for the practice. However, ecological differences from country to country and region to region, research and development trials are necessary to ensure a successful adoption of the technology to farmers in the Stat
Uji Protein dan Kualitas Pakan Ikan dari Tepung Ampas Kelapa dan Tepung Azolla (Azolla microphylla)
Fish feed is a very important component availability to supporting the survival of fish, however the fish feed cost is very expensive. Coconut dregs flour can be an alternative base material for the making of fish feed because of contains 13,09% protein. Azolla (Azolla microphylla) flour can be used as a mixture for the protein content of fish feed 25-35%. The aims of this research to know the protein content and quality of fish feed from coconut dregs flour and azolla (Azolla microphylla) flour. This research method used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and two treatment factors with two replications. The first factor was the weight of coconut dregs flour (75 g, 85 g and 95 g) and the second factor was the weight of azolla flour (15 g and 25 g). The result showed that the highest protein content of fish feed was the treatment of K1A1 (75 g coconut dregs flour and 15 g azolla flour) of 10,7614%, while the lowest protein content fish feed was the treatment of K3A2 (95 g coconut dregs flour and 25 g azolla flour) of 10,0328%. The best quality of fish feed was the treatment of K1A1 (75 g coconut dregs flour and 15 g azolla flour) with brownish black colour, smell of coconut and rough texture
