ARCHAIDS CONNECTS A CLINICAL DEPARTMENT AND A VIROLOGICAL LABORATORY TO AUTOMATIZE THE FOLLOW UP OF AIDS PATIENTS

Sharing information between a virology laboratory and the clinical department where patients are treated offers significant advantages. Moreover, computer automation allows easy storage of sample information, rapid data analysis and complete quality controls. A data base system for the automation of a virological laboratory has been set up at DIST. The system contains two interactive sections one for the Molecular Virology Unit of ABC and the other for the Department of Internal Medicine of the University of Genova School of Medicine.
