    Strategies for dynamic appointment making by container terminals

    We consider a container terminal that has to make appointments with barges dynamically, in real-time, and partly automatic. The challenge for the terminal is to make appointments with only limited knowledge about future arriving barges, and in the view of uncertainty and disturbances, such as uncertain arrival and handling times, as well as cancellations and no-shows. We illustrate this problem using an innovative implementation project which is currently running in the Port of Rotterdam. This project aims to align barge rotations and terminal quay schedules by means of a multi-agent system. In this\ud paper, we take the perspective of a single terminal that will participate in this planning system, and focus on the decision making capabilities of its intelligent agent. We focus on the question how the terminal operator can optimize, on an operational level, the utilization of its quay resources, while making reliable appointments with barges, i.e., with a guaranteed departure time. We explore two approaches: (i) an analytical approach based on the value of having certain intervals within the schedule and (ii) an approach based on sources of exibility that are naturally available to the terminal. We use simulation to get insight in the benefits of these approaches. We conclude that a major increase in utilization degree could be achieved only by deploying the sources of exibility, without harming the waiting time of barges too much

This is why, the access of the individuals to information is an actual requirement of the development of the Romanian society in the context of globalization and world implication o contemporary processes and phenomena. The Digital integration eliminates the barriers that traditionally suppress the circuit of the medical information, lets the goods and services circulate to and from Romania by promoting efficiency as final purpose. Performance is needed in the health system, the transformation of the system of medical services by bringing the benefits of the medical science and technology to all individuals from every community. In order to accomplish these expectations it is needed that all the components that form the health system look at it as a whole and subscribe to modern solutions for improvement so that the quality of health should raise to an unprecedented level. Even if health systems differ from country to country from the organizational and financial point of view, they face the same challenges and problems, respectively the supply of medical care of better quality and keeping under control the health expenses.     A Novel System for AYUSH Healthcare Services using Classification and Regression

    There are roughly 4000 AYUSH hospitals spread out across India under various councils and hospitals run by the Indian government. Today’s atmosphere makes it more challenging than ever to locate a suitable AYUSH facility for the treatment. The AYUSH Ministry provides India’s top option for healthcare delivery. The government is examining strategies to lower expenditures while enhancing patient care. We are proposing the ground-breaking idea of e-healthcare which involves various novel features like suggesting various tools to the patients those need to communicate with the healthcare professionals as per their convenience remotely. This research suggests an interactive system using Android in line with this trend. By integrating different bio-medical data sources that contain information pertinent to the hospital demographics, their inpatient procedure rates, Outpatient department, etc., we proposed a system that surveys on the various AYUSH hospitals to find. This system uses the Google Map API for tracking and highlighting the location to the nearby AYUSH hospitals with opening and closing timings. Additionally, the proposed system plays a crucial role in emergency scenarios by supporting the user in performing the necessary first aid techniques. Using this strategy, the entire system demonstrates that this research provides a superior method for making decisions than past studies

    An intelligent multi-agent memory assistant

    World population is ageing and increasingly scarce resources are required to cover the needs of everyone adequately. Medical conditions, especially memory problems, restrict the daily life of a broad slice of the elderly population, affect their independence. To prevent this, providing the right care and assistance while having in mind the costs implicated is essential. One possible path is to work with resources that we already have today and create innovative solutions to achieve the required level of support. There are not many solution either technological or not to prevent memory loss. In this work we present a possible solution aimed at restoring or maintaining the independence of elderly people, through the use of so-called Memory Assistants. We thus present an Intelligent Multi-Agent Memory Assistant designed to help people with memory problems remember their events and activities. The implementation of an event manager, free time manger, medication remainder and a sensory system, to manage and monitor the user, we aim to improve their quality of life and increase their independence

    Artificial Intelligence Agents and Knowledge Acquisition in Health Information System

    This research work highlights the need for AI-powered applications and their usages for theoptimization of information flow processes in the medical sector, from the perspective of howAI-agents can impact human-machine interaction (HCI) for acquiring relevant and necessaryinformation in emergency department (ED). This study investigates how AI-agents can be applied to manage situations of patient related unexpected experiences, such as long waiting times,overcrowding issues, and high number of patients leaving without being diagnosed. For knowledge acquisition, we incorporated modelling workshop techniques for gathering domain information from the domain experts in the context of emergency department in Karolinska Hospi-tal, Solna, Stockholm, Sweden, and for designing the AI-agent utilizing NLP techniques. We dis-cuss how the proposed solution can be used as an assistant to healthcare practitioners and workers to improve medical assistance in various medical procedures to increase flow and to reduce workloads and anxiety levels. The implementation part of this work is based on the natural language processing (NLP) techniques that help to develop the intelligent behavior for information acquisition and itsretriev-al in a natural way to support patients/relatives’ communication with the healthcare organization efficiently and in a natural way
