© 2017 IEEE. We propose an energy efficient error control code scheme which utilizes the intrinsic property of Hamming code to avoid crosstalk on the computer bus. By using the coding scheme in the noisy deep sub-micron process environment, the proposed scheme can achieve both error prevention and error correction. Meanwhile comparing to the (8,4) Hamming code (8-bit data bus with 4 information bits) with the inter wire capacitive coupling ratio of 30, it can reduce the energy consumption by 42%, and energy delay product by 12.5%. The saving for a 1-bit but is even higher
