EXPLORATION METHOD OF ROSTER DESIGN DEVELOPMENT WITH METAL WASTE IN TUMANG VILLAGE CEPAGA BOYOLALI
In Tumang village as a center for copper handicrafts, the problem that arises is the abundant metal waste but has not been used optimally. The aim is to develop a roster design made from metal waste with consideration of aesthetic appearance and commercial value. The method used is related to qualitative research and visual creation. Results and discussion, namely the exploration stage of design development include 1) Collecting waste, 2) Tidying the waste, 3) Arranging waste and finding the desired form as a roster, 3) Welding waste, 4) Finishing waste. The method of creation found was 1) Relying on the aesthetic sensitivity of the maker in composing pieces of metal waste into abstract shapes. 2) Relying on the association of forms based on the experience of the creator so as to bring up analogous forms of flora, fauna, and others.

A Technician's Dream? The Critical Reception of 3-D Films in Britain
Recent debates about the role of 3-D within cinema (and other media) have contained the traces of a largely anti-stereoscopic agenda that can be traced back to critical responses to 3-D in the 1950s. This article considers how British film reviews from the 1950s and 1980s established potent terms of discussion around the 3-D technology, its potential aesthetic development, and the role of stereoscopy within cinema. Exploring the parameters that the original reviewers set in place concerning the 3-D aesthetic, notably claims around realism, novelty, and gimmickry, the article argues that the language and terms of 1950s British film reviewers have worked to set an agenda that resonates through both the 1980s 3-D revival and modern day digital 3-D

Polaroid, aperture, and Ansel Adams: rethinking the industry-aesthetic divide
This article takes the history of Polaroid photography as an opportunity to question a presupposition that underpins much thinking on photography: the split between industrial (ie useful) applications of photography and its fine art (ie aesthetic) manifestations. Critics as ideologically opposed as Peter Bunnell and Abigail Solomon-Godeau steadfastly maintain the existence of this separation of utility and aesthetics in photography, even if they take contrasting views on its meaning and desirability. However, Polaroid, at one time the second largest company in the photo industry, not only enjoyed close relations with those key representatives of fine art photography, Ansel Adams and the magazine Aperture, but it also intermittently asserted the ‘essentially aesthetic’ nature of its commercial and industrial activities in its own internal publications. The divide between industry and aesthetics is untenable, then, but this does not mean that the two poles were reconciled at Polaroid. While Aperture may have underplayed its commercial connections and Polaroid may have retrospectively exaggerated its own contributions to the development of fine art photography, most interesting are the contradictions and tensions that arise when the industrial and the aesthetic come together. The article draws on original research undertaken at the Polaroid Corporation archives held at the Baker Library, Harvard, as well as with the Ansel Adams correspondence with Polaroid, held at the Polaroid Collections in Concord, Massachusett
ROLE OF SUPPORT COMMUNITY AND NEDERLANDSH INDISCHE KUNSTRING AS COMPONENTS OR THE MOOI INDIE FINE ARTS
This research is focused on the importance of role played by the supporting society and art institutions, especially Nederlandsche Indeische Kunstring to encourage development of Mooi Indie painting. The reasons for the support will be the Dutch indie elite in terms of cultural and aesthetic visions will be the focus of the work. This research is a qualitative study by applying historical methodology. The method is the main instrument in order to reveal the phenomena of the art history. The main characteristics of the historical study lie on tracing the sources (heuristic), selecting and providing criticisms based on the analyses and interpretations of the data sources in order to produce synthesis: hence, at the last stage, to develod a historiography. The explanations of the Mooi Indie painting. Artists and hair works, the supporting society, and the socio-cultural and art institutions of the Nederlansch Indische Kunstring who clearly showed mutual relations among components in the development of the art world. The relationship has proven that Mooi Indie painting together with the supporting society and the institution Nederlansch Indische Kunstring is the type of social production in yhe colonial system of the dutch Indies. In this system, cultural vision of the feudal colonial power is reflected in the strong style and form of painting with aesthetic vision of exotic romanticism. In the distribution processes of the cultural and aesthetic visions, the support and synergy between the components in the art world have worked very effectively.

Basket-Handle Arch and Its Optimum Symmetry Generation as a Structural Element and Keeping the Aesthetic Point of View
The arches were a great advance in construction with respect to the rigid Greek linteled architecture. Its development came from the hand of the great Roman constructions, especially with the semicircular arch. In successive historical periods, different types of arches have been emerging, which in addition to their structural function was taking aesthetic characteristics that are used today to define the architectural style. When, in the construction of a bow, the rise is less than half the springing line, the semicircular arch is no longer used and the segmental arch is used, and then on to another more efficient and aesthetic arch, the basket-handle arch. This study examines the classic geometry of the basket-handle arch also called the three-centered arch. A solution is proposed from a constructive and aesthetic point of view, and this is approached both geometrically and analytically, where the relationship between the radius of the central arch and the radius of the lateral arch is minimized. The solution achieved allows the maximum springing line or clear span to be saved with the minimum rise that preserves the aesthetic point of view, since the horizontal thrust of a bow is greater than the relationship between the springing line of the arch and the rise. This solution has been programmed and the resulting software has made it possible to analyse existing arches in historic buildings or constructions to check if their solutions were close or not from both points of view. Thus, it has been possible to verify that in most of the existing arches analyzed, the proposed solution is reached
Mitigation/Adaptation: landscape architecture meets sustainable energy transition
Mitigation of climate change and adaptation to renewable energy sources are among the emerging fields of activity in landscape architecture. If landscape architects recognize the need for sustainable development on the basis of renewable energy sources, then how can we contribute to sustainable and aesthetic transformation of the human environment
