Synthesizing the L\"{u} attractor by parameter-switching
In this letter we synthesize numerically the L\"{u} attractor starting from
the generalized Lorenz and Chen systems, by switching the control parameter
inside a chosen finite set of values on every successive adjacent finite time
intervals. A numerical method with fixed step size for ODEs is used to
integrate the underlying initial value problem. As numerically and
computationally proved in this work, the utilized attractors synthesis
algorithm introduced by the present author before, allows to synthesize the
L\"{u} attractor starting from any finite set of parameter values.Comment: accepted IJBC, 15 pages, 5 figure
Synthesizing attractors of Hindmarsh-Rose neuronal systems
In this paper a periodic parameter switching scheme is applied to the
Hindmarsh-Rose neuronal system to synthesize certain attractors. Results show
numerically, via computer graphic simulations, that the obtained synthesized
attractor belongs to the class of all admissible attractors for the
Hindmarsh-Rose neuronal system and matches the averaged attractor obtained with
the control parameter replaced with the averaged switched parameter values.
This feature allows us to imagine that living beings are able to maintain vital
behavior while the control parameter switches so that their dynamical behavior

Parameter switching in a generalized Duffing system: Finding the stable attractors
This paper presents a simple periodic parameter-switching method which can
find any stable limit cycle that can be numerically approximated in a
generalized Duffing system. In this method, the initial value problem of the
system is numerically integrated and the control parameter is switched
periodically within a chosen set of parameter values. The resulted attractor
matches with the attractor obtained by using the average of the switched
values. The accurate match is verified by phase plots and Hausdorff distance
measure in extensive simulations
Corticonic models of brain mechanisms underlying cognition and intelligence
The concern of this review is brain theory or more specifically, in its first part, a model of the cerebral cortex and the way it:(a) interacts with subcortical regions like the thalamus and the hippocampus to provide higher-level-brain functions that underlie cognition and intelligence, (b) handles and represents dynamical sensory patterns imposed by a constantly changing environment, (c) copes with the enormous number of such patterns encountered in a lifetime bymeans of dynamic memory that offers an immense number of stimulus-specific attractors for input patterns (stimuli) to select from, (d) selects an attractor through a process of “conjugation” of the input pattern with the dynamics of the thalamo–cortical loop, (e) distinguishes between redundant (structured)and non-redundant (random) inputs that are void of information, (f) can do categorical perception when there is access to vast associative memory laid out in the association cortex with the help of the hippocampus, and (g) makes use of “computation” at the edge of chaos and information driven annealing to achieve all this. Other features and implications of the concepts presented for the design of computational algorithms and machines with brain-like intelligence are also discussed. The material and results presented suggest, that a Parametrically Coupled Logistic Map network (PCLMN) is a minimal model of the thalamo–cortical complex and that marrying such a network to a suitable associative memory with re-entry or feedback forms a useful, albeit, abstract model of a cortical module of the brain that could facilitate building a simple artificial brain. In the second part of the review, the results of numerical simulations and drawn conclusions in the first part are linked to the most directly relevant works and views of other workers. What emerges is a picture of brain dynamics on the mesoscopic and macroscopic scales that gives a glimpse of the nature of the long sought after brain code underlying intelligence and other higher level brain functions. Self-organization in Communicating Groups: the emergence of coordination, shared references and collective intelligence\ud
The present paper will sketch the basic ideas of the complexity paradigm, and then apply them to social systems, and in particular to groups of communicating individuals who together need to agree about how to tackle some problem or how to coordinate their actions. I will elaborate these concepts to provide an integrated foundation for a theory of self-organization, to be understood as a non-linear process of spontaneous coordination between actions. Such coordination will be shown to consist of the following components: alignment, division of labor, workflow and aggregation. I will then review some paradigmatic simulations and experiments that illustrate the alignment of references and communicative conventions between communicating agents. Finally, the paper will summarize the preliminary results of a series of experiments that I devised in order to observe the emergence of collective intelligence within a communicating group, and interpret these observations in terms of alignment, division of labor and workflow

Research on digital image watermark encryption based on hyperchaos
The digital watermarking technique embeds meaningful information into one or more watermark images hidden in one image, in which it is known as a secret carrier. It is difficult for a hacker to extract or remove any hidden watermark from an image, and especially to crack so called digital watermark. The combination of digital watermarking technique and traditional image encryption technique is able to greatly improve anti-hacking capability, which suggests it is a good method for keeping the integrity of the original image. The research works contained in this thesis include: (1)A literature review the hyperchaotic watermarking technique is relatively more advantageous, and becomes the main subject in this programme. (2)The theoretical foundation of watermarking technologies, including the human visual system (HVS), the colour space transform, discrete wavelet transform (DWT), the main watermark embedding algorithms, and the mainstream methods for improving watermark robustness and for evaluating watermark embedding performance. (3) The devised hyperchaotic scrambling technique it has been applied to colour image watermark that helps to improve the image encryption and anti-cracking capabilities. The experiments in this research prove the robustness and some other advantages of the invented technique. This thesis focuses on combining the chaotic scrambling and wavelet watermark embedding to achieve a hyperchaotic digital watermark to encrypt digital products, with the human visual system (HVS) and other factors taken into account. This research is of significant importance and has industrial application value
