The purpose of this study is a rapid calculation of the transfer function of the echo-channel. A method that uses a preliminary filtering of the original signal is considered, it makes possible to reduce the length of the impulse response, thereby increasing the speed of the algorithm. Estimates of the accuracy of the transfer function are given, the accuracy of the estimation of the transfer function is compared before and after filtering the signal, and an algorithm for sequential estimation of the transfer function with increasing pulse characteristic length is represented
