    A Stochastic Broadcast Pi-Calculus

    In this paper we propose a stochastic broadcast PI-calculus which can be used to model server-client based systems where synchronization is always governed by only one participant. Therefore, there is no need to determine the joint synchronization rates. We also take immediate transitions into account which is useful to model behaviors with no impact on the temporal properties of a system. Since immediate transitions may introduce non-determinism, we will show how these non-determinism can be resolved, and as result a valid CTMC will be obtained finally.     Probabilistic Mobility Models for Mobile and Wireless Networks

    International audienceIn this paper we present a probabilistic broadcast calculus for mobile and wireless networks whose connections are unreliable. In our calculus, broadcasted messages can be lost with a certain probability, and due to mobility the connection probabilities may change. If a network broadcasts a message from a location, it will evolve to a network distribution depending on whether nodes at other locations receive the message or not. Mobility of nodes is not arbitrary but guarded by a probabilistic mobility function (PMF), and we also define the notion of a weak bisimulation given a PMF. It is possible to have weak bisimular networks which have different probabilistic connectivity information. We furthermore examine the relation between our weak bisimulation and a minor variant of PCTL* [1]. Finally, we apply our calculus on a small example called the Zeroconf protocol [2]

    A compositional coalgebraic model of a fragment of fusion calculus

    This work is a further step in exploring the labelled transitions and bisimulations of fusion calculi. We follow the approach developed by Turi and Plotkin for lifting transition systems with a syntactic structure to bialgebras and, thus, we provide a compositional model of the fusion calculus with explicit fusions. In such a model, the bisimilarity relation induced by the unique morphism to the final coalgebra coincides with fusion hyperequivalence and it is a congruence with respect to the operations of the calculus. The key novelty in our work is to give an account of explicit fusions through labelled transitions.
