Liquid-gas mixed phase in nuclear matter at finite temperature
We explore the geometrical structure of Liquid-gas (LG) mixed phase which is
relevant to nuclear matter in the crust region of compact stars or supernovae.
To get the equation of state (EOS) of the system, the Maxwell construction is
found to be applicable to symmetric nuclear matter, where protons and neutrons
behave simultaneously. For asymmetric nuclear matter, on the other hand, the
phase equilibrium can be obtained by fully solving the Gibbs conditions since
the components in the L and G phases are completely different. We also discuss
the effects of surface and the Coulomb interaction on the mixed phase.Comment: Contributed talk at the INPC 2010 at Vancouve
Time-Dependent Dynamics of the Bose-Fermi Mixed Condensed System
We study the monopole oscillation in the bose-fermi mixed condensed system by
performing the time-dependent Gross-Pitaevsky (GP) and Vlasov equations. We
find that the big damping exists for the fermion oscillation in the mixed
system even at zero temperatureComment: 5pages, 2 figure
Impact of Rotation on Quark-Hadron Hybrid Stars
Many recent observations give restrictions to the equation of state (EOS) for
high-density matter. Theoretical studies are needed to try to elucidate these
EOSs at high density and/or temperature. With the many known rapidly rotating
neutron stars, e.g., pulsars, several theoretical studies have tried to take
into account the effects of rotation. In our study of these systems, we find
that one of our EOSs is consistent with recent observation, whereas the other
is inconsistent.Comment: Quarks and Compact Stars 201
Relativistic effects in simulations of the fragmentation process with the microscopic framework
We simulate the fragmentation processes in the \CaCa collisions at the bombarding energy 1.05 GeV/u using the Lorentz covariant RQMD and the non-covariant QMD approaches, incorporated with the statistical decay model. By comparing the results of RQMD with those of QMD, we examine the relativistic effects and find that the multiplicity of the \alpha particle after the statistical decay process is sensitive to the relativistic effects. It is shown that the Lorentz covariant approach is necessary to analyze the fragmentation process even at the energy around \Elab = 1 GeV/u as long as we are concerned with the final observables of the mass distribution, particularly, the light fragments around A = 3 \sim 4
Hyperon-Quark Mixed Phase in Compact Stars
We investigate the properties of the hadron-quark mixed phase in compact
stars using a Brueckner-Hartree-Fock framework for hadronic matter and the MIT
bag model for quark matter. We find that the equation of state of the mixed
phase is similar to that given by the Maxwell construction. The composition of
the mixed phase, however, is very different from that of the Maxwell
construction; in particular, hyperons are completely suppressed.Comment: oral presentation at INPC 2007, Toky
Enhancement of entanglement transfer in a spin chain by phase shift-control
We study the effect of a phase shift on the amount of transferrable two-spin
entanglement in a spin chain. We consider a ferromagnetic Heisenberg/XY spin
chain, both numerically and analytically, and two mechanisms to generate a
phase shift, the Aharonov-Casher effect and the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya
interaction. In both cases, the maximum attainable entanglement is shown to be
significantly enhanced, suggesting its potential usefulness in quantum
information processing.Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures. v2: a fig added, the main text modified a bi
