HISTÓRIA, MEMÓRIA E NARRATIVA LITERÁRIA: RECOMPOSIÇÕES DO PASSADO E PERSPECTIVAS DE RESISTÊNCIA

Abstract

This article investigates the intrinsic relationship between history, memory, and literary narrative, grounded in the theoretical premises of Mikhail Bakhtin in dialogue with references from the field of historiography, among others. It discusses the discursive nature of historiography, which, although ostensibly objective, is permeated by heteroglossia and the axiologies of the present. The theoretical analysis undertaken highlights memory as a foundational and singular function for history, emphasizing its capacity to (re)signify the past and the importance of "narrating history against the grain," giving voice to silenced subjects. Based on this, the article proposes that literature constitutes a privileged space for witnessing and reconfiguring traumatic memory, acting as a vector of a "memory of resistance" in the face of denialism and "memoricide" in authoritarian contexts such as the recent Brazilian Civil-Military Dictatorship (1964–1985). Furthermore, this study reinforces the urgency of interdisciplinary approaches that recognize the unfinished nature of the past and the ethical-aesthetic power of narrative in constructing a horizon free from unilateral perspectives.  Por meio deste artigo investiga-se a intrínseca relação entre história, memória e narrativa literária, ancorando-se aos pressupostos teóricos de Mikhail Bakhtin em diálogo com referências do campo da historiografia, dentre outras. Discute-se a natureza discursiva da historiografia, que, embora pretensamente objetiva, é permeada pela heteroglossia e pelas axiologias do tempo presente. A análise teórica empreendida evidencia a memória como função matricial e singular para a história, destacando sua capacidade de (re)significação do passado e a importância de "narrar a história a contrapelo", dando voz aos sujeitos silenciados. A partir disso, propõe-se que a literatura constitui um espaço privilegiado para o testemunho e a reconfiguração da memória traumática, atuando como vetor de uma "memória de resistência" face ao negacionismo e ao "memoricídio" em contextos autoritários como o da última da Ditadura Civil-Militar brasileira (1964-1985). Outrossim, esse estudo reforça a urgência de abordagens interdisciplinares que reconheçam o caráter inacabável do passado e a potência ético-estética da narrativa na construção de um horizonte livre de perspectivas unilaterais
