Surgical management of multivisceral hydatid cyst

Abstract

Multivisceral hydatid cyst is defined as the presence of hydatid cysts in more than one organ of the abdominal cavity. This condition usually requires complex surgical management and antiparasitic treatment. We report three clinical cases in which the most frequent symptom was abdominal pain. Diagnosis was confirmed through imaging studies (CT and MRI) and serological tests. The surgical approach, postoperative evolution, and antiparasitic therapy are detailed.
