Preliminary Study on Advanced Oral Care for the Prevention of Inflammation-Associated Intestinal Carcinogenesis

研究成果の概要（和文）：東京科学大学病院消化器内科潰瘍性大腸炎・クローン病先端医療センター外来に通院する炎症性腸疾患長期経過患者を対象に、専門的口腔ケアを実施し、介入前後での口腔と糞便サンプルを採取した。次世代シークエンス解析の結果、専門的口腔ケア後に口腔と腸内細菌叢に門レベルでは変化が認められたが、統計学的に有意な差は認められなかった。Red complexに属する細菌の著しい減少は、介入前に高率に検出された1名の被験者に限られ、全体として一貫した傾向は認められなかった。研究成果の概要（英文）：A clinical study was conducted by recruiting patients with long-standing inflammatory bowel disease receiving treatment at the Advanced Clinical Center for IBD at the Institute of Science Tokyo Hospital. Advanced oral care was administered, and oral and fecal samples were collected before and after the intervention. Next-generation sequencing analysis revealed changes at the phylum level in both the oral and gut microbiota following the intervention, although these differences were not statistically significant. A marked reduction in red complex bacteria was observed in a single subject with a high baseline abundance of these organisms, while no consistent trends were noted across all participants.
