Preparing Undergraduate Students to Understand the Nutritional Difficulties of Food Insecurity

Abstract

College students often face the unknown whether they are traditional or non-traditional students, yet not every college student faces the same question of how they will feed themselves throughout the year. This question is becoming increasingly familiar to college students as an average of 41% face food insecurity. Because federal assistance is inadequate, universities bear the responsibility of supporting students who have no other resources to combat food insecurity.
