Knowledge and practices on exclusive breastfeeding among mothers of infants under 6 months of age at a health center in Jaén, 2025

Abstract

La lactancia materna es el alimento primordial para la población infantil ya que evita enfermedades como el sobrepeso y obesidad, conllevando a un problema de salud, y a la concurrencia sanitaria esto se debe a que las madres o cuidadoras no tienen el conocimiento y escasas prácticas limitando que sus niños no reciban los beneficios. El objetivo del trabajo será: Establecer la vinculación entre los saberes y las conductas respecto a la lactancia materna exclusiva en progenitoras de infantes menores de seis meses en un establecimiento sanitario de Jaén, 2025. Los instrumentos fueron analizados por especialistas, quienes aplicaron una Prueba Binomial (p= 0.00098), revelando su validez y la sinfonía de coincidencias entre los evaluadores era notablemente notable.Breastfeeding is the primary food for the child population since it prevents diseases such as overweight and obesity, leading to a health problem, and health care attendance. This is due to the fact that mothers or caregivers do not have the knowledge and few practices, limiting their children do not receive benefits. The objective of the work will be: Determine the relationship between knowledge and practices about exclusive breastfeeding in mothers of children under 6 months of age in a health center in Jaén, 2025.
