Foundations Working on Democracy in Europe

Abstract

This infographic is part of an effort by the Democracy Network to shed light on what funders are currently doing to strengthen democracy in Europe.It provides a snapshot of the diversity of philanthropic organisations that are funding the area of democracy in Europe, drawn from a small, selected sample. The sample covers 34 organisations from 17 countries, including some foundations based in the United States that contribute to democracy funding in Europe. Data featured in this infographic comes from Philea's internal database, two different surveys conducted with the members of the Democracy Network during 2022, and insights from the Philea Forum 2024 registration form
