Abstract

Objective: To identify whether the footprint is related to balance in older adults at the 2024 Comprehensive Senior Care Center. Methodology: This is a hypothetical and deductive quantitative research. This is a practical, correlational, correlational, cross-sectional study. Ninety older adults from the Comprehensive Older Adults Care Center (COAC), aged 60 to 85 years, who were attending the center located in San Juan de Lurigancho, were evaluated. Results: Regarding the footprint, 55.6% of the older adults (OA) evaluated had normal feet, 30% had cavus feet, and 14.4% had flat feet. Regarding balance, 52.2% were at moderate risk of falling, 46.7% had a slight risk of falling, and 1.1% had a high risk of falling. A significant relationship between the foot print and balance was found with a chi-square value of 13.044 and a two-tailed sig. of 0.011 < 0.05. Conclusions: There is a connection between foot print and static and dynamic balance in older adults at the Comprehensive Care in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho.Innovación en salud integral y gestión sanitaria
