Abstract

Nos convoca a la escritura la celebración de los setenta años de la Asociación Psicoanalítica del Uruguay (APU). Este acontecimiento tendrá, sin duda, junto con el clima festivo, sus momentos de reflexión y pausa, oportunidad para examinar la realidad de la institución y sus perspectivas, sobre la base de la memoria histórica. Como dice Korovsky (1985), los psicoanalistas somos, por vocación, revisionistas históricos. Para esa tarea, mejor que quien esto escribe, en su condición de amigo de APU, podrán sus propios integrantes valorar hoy la vitalidad de la empresa. No obstante, en las líneas que siguen intentaré ofrecer una perspectiva que ojalá complemente la de los principales protagonistas del acontecimiento.The celebration of the seventieth anniversary of the Uruguayan Psychoanalytic Association (APU) calls us to write. This event will undoubtedly include, along with its festive atmosphere, moments of reflection and pause, an opportunity to examine the reality of the institution and its prospects, based on historical memory. As Korovsky (1985) says, psychoanalysts are, by vocation, historical revisionists. For this task, its own members will be better able to assess the vitality of the enterprise today than the author, as a friend of APU. Nevertheless, in the following lines, I will attempt to offer a perspective that hopefully complements that of the event\u27s main protagonists
