Inequality Of Mangrove Tourism Flooding In Mulyorejo Tirto Village Amid Concerning Economic Conditions

Abstract

The recurring issue of tidal flooding in coastal areas has led to changes in the physical and social environment of the community. Tidal floods disrupt daily activities and livelihoods, affecting the fulfillment of basic needs. To survive, the community must adopt survival strategies to endure these conditions. This study aims to analyze the survival strategies of the coastal community in Pekalongan facing tidal floods. The research employs a qualitative descriptive analysis method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the Pekalongan coastal community, especially in Mulyorejo Village, employs survival strategies through physical and social adaptation. These strategies can be categorized as active, passive, and network-based, reflected in the physical structure of houses and the community's decision to stay due to a shared sense of solidarity, fostering familial bonds
