Abstract

Das Projekt $\textit {"Holzbau findet Stadt"}$ untersuchte die Rahmenbedingungen für die frühzeitige Einbindung von Holz als Baustoff in die Stadt- und Strukturplanung von Stadtquartieren. Ziel des Forschungsvorhabens \textit {Holzbau_findet_Stadt} war es, durch eine frühzeitige Weichenstellung im städtebaulichen Entwurf und in der Stadtplanung die Potentiale, die klima- und ressourcenschonende Baukonstruktionen für die Erreichung des annähernd CO2-neutralen Gebäudebestandes bieten, effizient zu nutzen. Deshalb wurden in diesem Forschungsprojekt die notwendigen Vorgaben und Entwurfsprinzipien, die das Bauen in Holz- und Holzhybridbauweise befördern, identifiziert, definiert und beschrieben. In einem Maßnahmenkatalog wurden diese Erkenntnisse gesammelt und mit möglichen Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten gekoppelt. Zugleich wurden sowohl qualitative als auch quantitative Kriterien festgelegt, die es den planenden Kommunen erlauben, die gestellten Anforderungen im weiteren Prozess auf Einhaltung zu überprüfen.The $\textit {"Holzbau findet Stadt"}$ (Wood Construction Finds Its Way into the City) project examined the framework conditions for the early integration of wood as a building material into urban and structural planning for city districts. The objective of the \textit {Holzbau_findet_Stadt} research project was to leverage the potential offered by climate-friendly and resource-efficient building constructions to achieve a virtually CO2-neutral building stock. This was achieved by establishing the direction early on in urban design and planning. The objective of the present research project was to identify, define and describe the necessary specifications and design principles that promote construction using wood and wood hybrid methods. The findings were collated into a catalogue of measures and linked to possible implementation options. Concurrently, a dual approach of qualitative and quantitative criteria was instituted to empower planning authorities to substantiate adherence to stipulated requirements in subsequent phases
