Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Green Farm, The Street, Salcott, Essex, July 2020

Abstract

This collection consists of site images and GIS data from an archaeological evaluation at Green Farm, The Street, Salcott, Essex. Works were conducted in July 2020 by Cotswold Archaeology, excavating three trenches. A medieval ditch which potentially formed the rear boundary, a possible medieval pit or post hole and a potential pit or natural feature of similar dates were identified. Further to this, remains of possible post-medieval trackway potentially connecting a cart-lodge and a short lived post-medieval pond identifiable on the 1897 and 1898 OS maps were also identified and recorded in plan
