Abstract

Public administration increasingly faces challenges in addressing the multidimensional impacts of natural disasters, which are exacerbated by climate change and socio-economic vulnerabilities. This special issue examines the role of social sciences in disaster management, with an emphasis on the importance of interdisciplinary approaches to strengthen resilience and governance. The articles provide analyses of case studies, innovative practices, and critical policy issues, including communication, capacity building, and equitable resource distribution.
