Design and production process of perfume packaging

Abstract

Završni rad bavi se razvojem i dizajnom ambalaže za parfem Esthira, dio brenda Divine Valor. U teorijskom dijelu istražuju se uloge ambalaže u marketingu, grafičkom dizajnu i emocionalnom brendiranju, uz detaljnu analizu suvremenih tiskarskih tehnika poput fleksotiska, bakrotiska, ofsetnog tiska i zlatotiska. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na važnost kvalitetne pripreme za tisak, koja uključuje odabir tipografije, spot boja, vektorsku obradu i tehničke prilagodbe materijalima. Praktični dio obuhvaća izradu dizajnerskih rješenja u Adobe Illustratoru za više elemenata ambalaže: kutiju parfema, ambalažu za tester, poklon bon i papirnatu vrećicu. Svaki element detaljno je pripremljen za tisak i doradu. Proces uključuje sve ključne korake: dizajn, digitalnu pripremu, odabir tiskarske tehnike i završnu doradu. Kroz rad je prikazan cjelokupni proces razvoja ambalaže, od idejnog koncepta do gotovog proizvoda, što potvrđuje važnost povezanosti dizajnerske kreativnosti i tehničke preciznosti u stvaranju funkcionalnog i vizualno prepoznatljivog rješenja.This thesis focuses on the development and design of packaging for the perfume Esthira, part of the Divine Valor brand. The theoretical section explores the roles of packaging in marketing, graphic design, and emotional branding, alongside a detailed analysis of contemporary printing techniques such as flexography, gravure, offset printing, and foil stamping. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of thorough print preparation, including typography selection, spot colors, vector processing, and technical adaptations to materials. The practical section includes the creation of design solutions in Adobe Illustrator for various packaging elements: the perfume box, tester packaging, gift card, and paper bag. Each element is carefully prepared for printing and finishing. The process covers all key stages: design, digital preparation, choice of printing technique, and final finishing. This work presents the complete process of packaging development, from the initial concept to the finished product, highlighting the importance of the connection between creative design and technical precision in achieving a functional and visually distinctive solution
